'Please, please, please, don't be,' Taylor whispered, looking at herself in the mirror. She looked horrible; her eyes were bloodshot, her hair flying about all over the place, her cheeks rubbed red and raw. She casted a quick look at the white stick on the counter next to her but there wasn't anything to see on it yet. Splashing water in her face to try and wake herself up from this and realizing this wasn't a dream, but instead some twisted half-nightmare and half-daydream.

The line from her own song she'd written years back crossed her mind and she laughed without any humor, ''cause darling I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream'. She'd had so much fun writing the line even though the reason why it was written hadn't been so funny. She'd finally gotten fed up with the blatant, sexist reporters and decided that writing this line would try to back them off. Maybe it worked, maybe it didn't. She really didn't know actually.

She laughed coldly, caught up in her thoughts and almost not hearing the faint beep her alarm had given off. Please don't be please don't be please don't be please don't be the silent mantra repeated itself in her head as she took a deep breath and looked at the pregnancy test. Positive. Two pink lines went down in the trash.

'Hi love,' his deep voice came from behind her, his arms around her waist, a kiss planted on her cheek. She'd been so caught up in her thoughts she hadn't heard him come in while she was cooking.

'Hey babe,' she said, absentmindedly kissing his cheek. 'Did you have a nice practice?'

''It was okay, just the usual,' he said, rubbing her side and playing with her long blonde hair. "Something wrong? You seem a little...'

'No, everything's fine,' she mumbled, even though she knew he probably knew something was off. He just knew not to pressure it. 'Dinner's ready in about five minutes.'

'Alright then,' he said, putting another kiss on top of her head. 'I'm going to change real quick, I'll be back down a minute or two.'

It had only been a minute and a half when her husband called for her.

'Hold up, I'll be there in two seconds,' she shouted back while putting down their plates, hearing his voice faintly echo a 'please hurry' back.

Hurriedly she walked up the stairs, crossed the first floor and walked into their bedroom. 'Travis, where are you?'

'In our bathroom, darling,' he said, his voice distant even though he could only be a couple of feet away.

As soon as she walked in, she prayed she could turn back the clock a few hours and somehow avoid this. There her husband stood, looking at Meredith, who somehow got into the home pregnancy kit box, looking like she owned the world. Taylor realized she'd mistakenly left the box on the bathroom counter top for the world to see and it would've only been a matter of time until somebody had found it.

'Mere, c'mon get out, your bed is downstairs,' Taylor hurriedly said, lifting the cat out of the box and quickly putting it in the trash.

'Tay?' Travis spoke, his voice a mix of hurt, guilt, fear, and anger and quite possibly a bit of love too, but Taylor wasn't too sure of that. 'What was that?'

'Nothing,' she didn't acknowledge the fact that he most definitely knew what the box had been for.

'Taylor, that wasn't nothing.'
