Three missed calls. All from Travis. Her heart beat just a little harder as she swiped to return the call, pressing the phone tight to her ear. What if something happened? What if got hurt? Three missed calls were urgent. Important. Serious.

The ringing stopped and Travis's relieved voice came over the line. Taylor let out a silent sigh of relief, her shoulders sinking back down from the tightened stress.

"Hey," he breathed.

"Hey babe," she answered back, smiling despite herself. "Is everything alright? What's going on?"

"I've missed you."

Taylor's heart rate finally returned to normal. She felt all the muscles in her back relax. Hearing those three words meant this thing they had was real. Sometimes, when she was apart from him, she felt like maybe she was imagining the whole thing. That maybe it was all in her head. The bond they shared could only be this strong in her imagination. Right?

But the fact that he was calling her when she knew for a fact it was 4 a.m. in Kansas City just to say he missed her meant a lot. Said a lot more than just those three words. "I miss you, too."

"Are you alone?" His voice was gruff. She wondered if he had been drinking or if he was just tired.

She picked her head up from her phone, taking notice of all the people surrounding her. Some backup dancers and band. Security and her parents. Hotel staff. The usual. Of course she wasn't alone. She hardly ever was alone. Especially on tour. They were all milling around in the hotel bar on the third floor. She had allowed herself one glass of celebratory wine. The past four nights were more than she expected. They were amazing. She deserved a good buzz right now. She put on a damn good show.

"No, but I can be. Give me a minute."

He sounded on edge "Hurry, babe. I wanna, um...talk."

"You're sure you're alright, Trav?" Taylor asked again. Her mother lifted her head out of the conversation with one of the travel managers to look at Taylor, but she waved her mother off, mouthing Travis.

"Just want to talk to you, no distractions. That's it."

Taylor rolled her eyes, but appreciated what he was saying. She motioned to Andrea and her bodyguard that she was going to head up. "Halfway around the world and you're still able to steal me away from all my friends." Her bodyguard led her diligently through the throng of the tour crew all kicking back at the bar and to the elevators.

Travis spoke and Taylor could hear the loaded meaning behind his response. "That won't be all I can make you do from here tonight."

"Mmmm, not alone yet." She glanced from the corner of her eye to her primary bodyguard, Brandon, to see if he was listening. He obviously was, but at least he pretended not to be. The pair of them stepped into the mirrored elevator and he hit the button for Taylor's floor. The ride was mercifully quick. She made small talk about what it finally felt like to perform live again until she had the door to her suite shut and locked firmly behind her. Travis had been mindlessly agreeing with her with everything she was saying. She knew he clearly had something else on his mind.

"Okay, babe, I'm all alone. By myself. Here in Brazil. I wish you were here right now." She dropped her bag on the side table and made her way to the bedroom.

"I saw the pictures from the shows."

That's what this was about. She smirked. "What'd you think?"

"My God, Taylor, you looked so fucking good, Jesus Christ. I've had a permanent hard on for the past like, four days."

Taylor scrunched up her nose and grinned. "Sounds like a personal problem." She unzipped her high heeled boots with her free hand and kicked them off, feeling the unholy sweet stretch of her calves once they straightened out and her heels touched the carpeted floor. "Ohh," she sighed quietly to herself.

"Don't fuck with me, Swift," He paused. "On second thought, please do."

"I just took my shoes off. Cool your jets, big boy."

He groaned sarcastically. "Ugh, baby, call me that again." He was teasing her now. She smiled to herself as she heard him let out a quiet laugh. He continued after a moment of silence between them. "But seriously, I tried. I can't. Not after the image of you in those thigh high boots, baby. With the garter and the chair. Sweet mother of god, I wish I was there." He breathed deeply. "What are you wearing?"

Taylor fell back on the bed. The bright lights of Sao Paulo were twinkling far below her. She should have closed the curtains, but she liked the view too much. And she was so high up, the odds of a peeping tom with a camera in Brazil were zero. "Want to pretend I'm wearing the boots and garter?" She asked mischievously.

"Fuck," he exhaled. "What else?"

"That's it."

"Oh don't say that, baby. Fuck." Travis's breathing got a little more labored. Taylor's face heated up in a flash when she realized what he was doing. She got warm all over and felt the pang of loneliness for his physical body. She had never had phone sex with him before, didn't know how it would really work. There was a difference between just talking and just talking plus more. She's never done the plus more part. But talking right now with Travis, knowing what he was doing while thinking of her halfway round the world, made this feel like the most natural thing in the world. She wanted to do this with Travis. Her hand slipped farther south down her body, imagining the visual of Travis's muscular body, naked and hard. Neither of them spoke for a few moments.

"You touching yourself?" His voice was the only noise in the suite. It was like he was right beside her. She was surprised by how turned on she was by just his voice.

She swallowed. "Yes."

"That's a good girl," he complimented roughly. Shit, she loved when he called her that. She closed her eyes and pretended that it was Travis's hand instead of her own. Everything about his voice was perfect. "Keep going," he said. "Keep up that pace, baby."

She did. "I really – wish you were here," she sighed into the receiver. "You're a lot better at this than I am."

"You don't know what I'd give to be watching you right now. To be right there with you, fucking you nice and slow." She whimpered into the phone, his raspy, throaty voice filling her head.

Over the next several minutes, Travis spoke into Taylor's ear about everything he was going to do to her when she came to Kansas City after her shows. All the things he was going to make her feel. He was going to turn her inside out. Make her sore all over. Make her hurt so good. Feel so good. They wouldn't leave the bedroom for days. He'd keep her all to himself. They'd go all day, all night. Make her scream his name. Taylor would respond to each thing he said with a breathless, one word response, never wanting him to stop talking.

Travis could sense she was close and coaxed her to her finish, beckoning sweetly for her to come. The sounds of her crying softly his name over the receiver edged him over as he tugged himself over the edge, groaning her name just a little bit. The two of them stayed silent, breathing heavy on two different continents, two different time zones, but together. They were together right now, connected by something more than just a telephone line.

Taylor smiled and started laughing to herself. "That was nice, I needed that. Thanks."

Travis guffawed. "The pleasure was all mine. Trust me on that one."

She was going to come up with a clever comeback but felt too exhausted to think of one. She felt good, her mind buzzing from the alcohol and from Travis's voice, the loneliness she felt for him shrinking. "I love you," she whispered.

Travis breathed into the phone a sigh of content. "I love you," he said. "Good night, Tay."

"I'll see you in a couple of days," she promised, eyes closing.

"I'll be here."
