Worried

[JIN POV]

After some time we left the hospital and headed home. A while after we got in the car I noticed that Ji Ryeong was reading something on her phone. She looked worried, and that worried me too.

"Min Woo said I have to stay with you guys from now on," she said, her voice quivering.

"Why?" Su Ga asked as he drove.

"He didn't say anything about it." V was leaning forward from the back seat and reading the text message. " He only said the he's with Hyun Dan and that he loves her." Ji Min whacked him on the head.

"You really like intruding on other people's privacy, huh?"

"That's nothing to scold him on now," I said. "You're fine with staying with us right?" Ji Ryeong nodded but I could see that she was unsure.

"It's settled then," said J-Hope. "She's coming with us." The car erupted into loud whoops and I laughed at their stupidity. But even I'm unsure. By the way, Jung Kook didn't talk since we left, and he didn't even seem to be paying attention to us. He just looked out the window, gloomy. That doesn't suit him and it's kinda creepy.

[FAST FORWARD TO NIGHTTIME]

The boys were finally asleep. Earlier we assigned rooms like always, two in one room. Jung Kook wanted to sleep alone, and I guess he's a bit upset on something. Ji Min went with V, Su Ga with J-Hope and Ji Ryeong would be with me. It took almost forever to get them to sleep, although Jung Kook was asleep before I said so.

After that, I slowly walked into our room. I was a second from opening the door when I heard something. Cries. I waited for a few minutes to see if the sobs would get lower, but they stayed the same. I opened the door and I found Ji Ryeong, awake. She looked up at me and I could clearly see that her eyes were bloodshot even from the single lamp that dimly illuminated the room. I didn't pause to look; I just dashed to her.

" Ji Ryeong?" I tried to ask in a smooth tone. It came out shuddering.

"Jin..." was all I heard from her before she covered her face with her hands and shook with sobs. I wrapped my arms round her and lay my head on her knees.

"Please...stop. But... Why?"

Ji Ryeong looked up. "I c-can't stop thinking ab-b-bout the message."

"What?"

"J-j-jin, I'm w-worried. W-what if soomething h-happens? I m-mean, maybe..." Her voice drifted off, and so did her sobs.

"Don't be." I looked at her, into her eyes. I let my fingers lace through hers and lock firmly. "First, don't be negative. Second, if anything happens to you, I'll be there for you."

That made her stop. She stared back at me, her sobs not audible anymore. "Really?"

"I swear," I replied, trying to smile a little. "I swear I'll never leave your side. Ever."

A moment's silence, then Ji Ryeong's lips began to curl in a smile and let out a laugh. That's much better now! I laughed too.

"Feeling better?" I asked. She nodded and wiped off her tears. Her smile vanished at once and she clutched at her eyes.

"Where wrong?"

"My eyes hurt. Like something's chewing inside them."

"You cried a lot."

"This the first time I cried this much actually. I was just...worried."

I got an ice pad from the freezer and applied it to her eye. She let out a gasp at first but then she calmed down and I return it when the pain subsided.
