[MY FIRST TIME UPLOADING A CHAPTER... HOPE YOU LIKE THIS ONE! ^^]

"Come ON! Come on, Ji Ryeong! We're gonna be late!" My younger 6-year-old brother jumped up and down, his little orange-and-red bag shaking to every leap he made.

"Calm down! Hyun Dan, it's not like we'll be punished on the first day of our new school!" I called from upstairs, fetching my hairband. Yeah, like Hyun Dan said, today is our first day of our new school. New rules, new studying methods, new people, new everything.

Oh! How can I ever forget to introduce myself? My name is Ha Ji Ryeong, and I'm just some 17-year-old freak in Grade 10. I should be nervous because I'll probably be the only new student in the entire building. But since I'm used to changing schools, it's not a big problem for me. And Hyun Dan.

"Alright then," my elder brother Min Woo said. A man of 26, he's been taking care of us since Hyun Dan was born. It was because our parents had passed away from disease and from that day on Min Woo treated us like his own kids. You see, he's a caring type but an over protective one, too.

"You're ready to go," Min Woo said after fixing Hyun Dan's messy, tangled hair into a neater and cute style and handing me my cell phone. "Remember, when you get there, give me a quick call!" he added just as our bus pulled into the driveway, clearly seen through the window in our kitchen.

"The bus! The bus! It's here! Come ON Ji Ryeong!" Hyun Dan wailed.

"Hyun Dan! I told you to call her aapi! Have some respect~" Min Woo said. Hyun Dan groaned, rolling his eyes in an exhausted manner.

"I saw that Hyun Dan," Min Woo put an emphasis on the words he spoke.

"You see everything," Hyun Dan scoffed. I laughed at them, slinging my own purple bag over my shoulder.

"Okay bro," I said as I opened the kitchen door and Hyun Dan dashed out like a cheetah. "Bye for now!"

"Bye kiddo," Min Woo replied after pecking my forehead. He watched us board the bus, the doors automatically closing and leaving the driveway.

Along the way, Hyun Dan kept unusually quiet and stared out the window next to me, his head resting on his hand. My stomach crippled with excitement and anxiety. Now I was truly nervous. He admitted it too because he tugged lightly at my uniform overall and said,

"Aapi, I'm scared."

"It's gonna be okay, Dan," I tried to soothe him by calling him his nickname. We were lucky we were the only ones in the bus so I can talk to Hyun Dan.

"We're gonna meet new people. That's fun and you like fun! Nothing bad will happen, trust me."

"But what if they're mean?" That sentence froze me. Mean people... that could be true. Mean people are always found in all schools so that might be an obstacle to fight.

"That won't happen," I said. "Think positive! That's what you said, right?"

"I guess it'll work," Hyun Dan replied. I smiled.

"Of course it will," I put my arm around him and he cuddled into me.
