[MAX POV]

I couldn't stop smiling that afternoon. I felt really excited because Kyu Hyun ma buddy old pal posed a super duper excellent plan for us to get that cutie Ji Ryeong as not one of ours, but ALL OF OURS! Isn't that cool?

Eventually, the other students asked me what was up. I just said that I got top marks in the Algebra test we had earlier but they must've known that I had a trick up my sleeve because they gave me the evil eye and went away. That kinda let my spirit down. And something else helped it go to level zero on my life meter.

TAE MIN BUDDY SAW THAT IDIOT JIN CARING FOR MY JI RYEONG IN WHAT LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE FORMING A STRONG RELATIONSHIP! DAMN THEM BOTH!

Tae Min had reported it to Kyu Hyun over at his place once all the students (including us) were home. Kyu was really mad. But again, he changed his plan into a much, much better way than before! He told Tae Min to tell me the next day since he didn't have my number.

[TAE MIN POV]

I couldn't believe my freaking eyeballs. Did Kim just do THAT to MY JI RYEONG?! Along with Yook and Son?! A reason why I hate triple events! Oh, I'm just seeing things probably. I gave myself a nasty pinch on my cheek and yelped quietly with pain. Okay, not drunk, not dreaming. This is turning out to be the worst day of my entire life.

I made sure to creep out of the thorn bush silently so noone would notice me, leaving lots of bleeding cuts on my arms and face. I dabbed at the cuts with my uniform sleeve and headed away as if nothing ever happened. But by the time I got to the main gate, Kyu Hyun and Max were already gone. Pfft, I thought. How can things be worse?

I had no choice but to head home. Alone. For the first time. The terrible silence freaked me out as I made my way to my home. An idea struck me suddenly, and I brightened up. Aha! I turned and went straight to Kyu Hyun's house. I'll just give him the news and head back home! Wow, I'm such a genius!

I knocked at his door in a few minutes three times. That was our code to know who had arrived. A matter of seconds later, his elder sister Cho Ara opened the door. She lowered her head like she always does whever she sees me.

"Oh," she whispered. "It's you. Hello, Tae Min." She looked up at me and blushed.

"Hi Cho Ara!" I smiled. "Hey, can I visit your younger brother for a few minutes? Pretty please?" I pouted.

"Of course!" Cho Ara laughed, blushing again. "Stay for as long as you want!" She stepped aside for me to enter. "Come on in, the bugs won't mind not biting you!"

"Gee! Thanks kiddo!" I dashed inside.

"Wait! Lemme at least inform him!"

"Oh...sorry!"

"Never mind. I'll see how is he." Cho Ara started up the stairs and I followed her.

[KYU HYUN POV]

I groaned. The pain in my head was literally killing me. I rolled over in my blankets, about to get some shut-eye, when someone outside knocked on my bedroom door.

"Hey Kyu Hyun!" a female voice I recognized as my elder sister Cho Ara called through the wooden material. "You have a visitor!"

"Don't lie to me," I growled, then I clawed at my neck. I hated the itchiness inside my neck, and I hated it even more when Cho Ara bluffs to me.

"She ain't lying bro!" The door opened to let a low-toned voice flow inside my room along with someone else. Not only Cho Ara entered, but...

"Tae Min!" I said, a raspy sound escaping my throat. Minnie dropped by here then, eh? Tae Min beamed and I beamed back.

"I guess I'll go then. Giving you some..." said Cho Ara quietly. She searched for a word and added sarcastically, "privacy!"

"EXCUSE ME?!" Tae Min and I yelled (Tae Min yelled, I couldn't even make it to a normal talk). Cho Ara giggled then exited my bedroom, closing the door after her.

"Pfft," I scoffed. "Sometimes I hate that girl." Tae Min nodded solemnly.

"Kyu," he said. "You look terrible! What happened?"

"Nothing!" I lied, searching for words to back up my obvious bluff. Tae Min raised his thin eyebrows.

"Chyeah?" he grunted. "How come you're sick?" He put his hand on my forehead. "With a terrible fever! Pal, you gotta tell me the truth!"

"Actually it's... uh... " I stuttered. His stare at me hardened more and more until I couldn't handle it. "Fine! I got love sick because I think I literally fell in love with Ji Ryeong!" I shut my eyes tight and I opened them to find a shocked Tae Min having the are-you-freaking-kidding-me face.

"Are you freaking kidding me?!" he cried. Well, thoughts sometimes jump to reality.

"Chyeah," I sighed. "I don't know but I actually love her. Not any type! I mean the kind when she's just too much for you to handle. She's so irresistible."

"Speaking of Ji Ryeong," Tae Min's fun face swiped to serious. "You won't be happy what happened to her earlier today."

"What?"

"See, I was hiding in this nearby thorn bush—"

"Which is why you have so many cuts."

"Forget the cuts! Kim was all over her. She almost swooned so he was hugging her and kissing her cheeks and—"

Whoa whoa whoa! What did Kim do? No way, that can't ever be true!

"Say what?!"

"I'm not lying bro!"

"Then I'll do something about it." I leaned over and whispered some stuff in his ear. When I finished, he had a look of devilish mischievousness in his eyes.
