(Now before the story I think weed is ok as long as you know what it can do to you, and you don't hurt others by your usage)
They are at Nick's university they got a apartment and share a room, it's a week till the new school year, there is a party tonight to mark the start of the new year and new teachers. Nick just gets home and sees charlie sitting on the couch and watching try not to laugh videos on youtube, Nick walks over to the fridge only seeing on tray of brownies and the other tray the brownies for the party in the sink, no brownies in it.
N "Char? Did you eat the brownies with nuts or the other one?"
Nick hopes he is just forgetting which tray was which,
C "Uh- I didn't want nuts so I ate the other ones"
Nick covers his mouth and widens his eyes,
N "H-how much of them did y-you e-eat?"
C "I was really hungry and ate the tray, sorry baby"
Nick starts to laugh but not a haha laugh a nervous expelling of air,
N "Charlie."
Nick moves to sit next to him,
N "Charlie"
He repeats trying to find the words,
C "What?"
N "Those were weed brownies, those were edibles. they were suppose to be stong as one brownie, and you ate the whole fucking tray, and your a god damn light weight"
Charlie sits there for a moment starting to freak out,
C "Why did you make edibles?!"
N "I started using weed last year, I only use ½ of a brownie and I only take them when I go to parties, they make me more sociable. But more importantly how long ago did you take them- they first one?"
C "Like 2 hours ago,"
N "Ok- Ok- so in about 5-ish minutes you will be off your shit- then in about 10 minutes you will be out for about 3 minutes, then you'll be high for like a few hours... Have you ever had weed before?"
Charlie shakes his head still trying to take in the information
C "I- Uh- I don't know what to do..."
Nick picks him up carrying him to the bed not risking him passing out on the floor,
C "I'm sorry"
N "You didn't know,"
Nick kisses charlie's forehead, charlie starts trying to talk just slurring his words, Nick sets him into the bed laying next to him,
C "B-bu~ baby~ I- I'sm I- Fquck "
Nick smiles a little laying next to his boyfriend how is higher then a fucking kite,
N "I know your probably feeling really scary right now, But I'm here char~"
Nick tries not to spook charlie much, not touching him or making sudden movements, he remembers back to his first high,

He first tried it with some of his friends when he was 14, he felt a little off but not much as his friends so he faked it, slurring his words, squinting his eyes, trying to look way higher then he was; the next day he took way more trying to get like how his friends were feeling last night and he got violently ill and way out of it, he started seeing things and getting a sense of paranoia like someone somewhere was watching his every move; that day he told himself "If I ever use weed again only 2 milligrams or less"; today's one brownie that he made used 2 millagrams and he usually only ate ½ but his boyfriend, the one he loved is suffering beacuse he never told him or anyone else.

N "I love you baby~ I'm sorry~"
Charlie is staring at his hands seemingly mesmerized by all the cracks and crevices,
C "I- Ias- I Lo-se-ve y-y- ys- yous too-es"
Nick starts to cry feeling terrible for making his boyfriend incapacitated because of his bad habit, Charlie drops his hand changing his whole demeanor, he quickly turns hugging into Nick's side tightly, he is shaking, shaking a lot,
C "I- I don't wanna die! I don't wanna die! I don't wanna die!"
Nick wipes his eyes quickly he holds charlie back,
N "You're ok~ You're not in danger~ you're safe~"
Charlie just keeps repeating "I don't wanna die!" crying into Nick's arms, then it just stops,

Nick hugs into charlie's limp body, crying into his shoulder, It's been at lease 2 minute with charlie out, nick just keeps whispering into charlie, "I'm so sorry" He is hyperventilating and crying harder then he ever can remember.
C "W- N~ Nick?~"
Nick nods still crying,
N "Are you ok baby?~"
Charlie squizes his eyes shut a few times before fully opening them,
C "I think so... what happened?~"
Nick thinks about lying but he body wont let him hurt his baby anymore,
N "Y- you took a lot of edibles i made I- I'm so sorry- I'm so so so sorry"
Charlie just lays there still out of his mind in Nick's arms,
C "I- It's ok"
N "No! No! It's not! I hurt you! That is not ok!"
C "I mean... I forgive you"
Nick sniffles a little trying not to cry anymore,
N "I don't want you to forgive me, I could have accidentally ended your life tonight!"
C "I still foreigive you, just tell me when your using weed from now on... I need to know the story once I- I am not higher then a skyscraper"
