Chapter Nine

Time Skip : About seven months**

*Angel kind of honed his powers and spinjitzu by now and became an official part of the team.

Y/n's Pov:

Cole and I had gone on a date night to have a little time to ourselves. We ate at a nice little restaurant downtown. The waiter came up and took our drink orders then came back for food.

"I'll have the (Fav food) please." I said. The waiter turned to Cole.

"And you sir?"

"I'll have cak- I mean kumquat. I'll have the kumquat." The waiter raised an eyebrow, "Kumquat..?"

"I meant Kebabs. I'll have those. Meat on a skewer sounds good." Cole said nervously. Cole continued to act weird all night, we finished dinner then decided on dessert, cake of course, to go.

We went to one of my favorite parks. Sitting and eating cake together. We talked for a while, laughing, and taking our time. I went to go throw the cake box in a nearby trashcan. But Cole stood as well.

"Y/n.." He said slowly getting onto a knee. A small box in his hand. I gaped at him.

"Will you marry me?" He opened the small box, it contained a beautiful ring, with a lily on it. I couldn't help squealing and running into him, almost knocking him over before he could get up.

"Well?" He said nervously.

"FUCK YES!" I squealed, sounding like a little girl. He pecked me on the lips and hugged me tightly.

A few people started clapping.

I smiled brightly at him. Both of us still on the ground. 

"This was my mother's ring.." He smiled thoughtfully at me, his dark eyes soft as he slipped it onto my finger.

"Damn she would have loved you, " His voice breaking with a bittersweet smile.

"I love you Cole Brookstone." I murmured.

"I love you Y/n. I can't wait until your a Brookstone yourself." Cole grinned at me.

We started to walk home after that, "When do you want to tell them? Wait when will it be?!" 

"Y/n don't stress. This is going to be fun. How about we get it planned out, then we can have it whenever we're ready. Same for telling them."

I nodded. As soon as we stepped in the door Nya stared at me.

"Oh hey Y/n! Cole!"

"Y/n can you help me with something?" Nya asked.

"I can help you." Jay said eagerly.

"Jay it's um.. Girl stuff?" Jay frowned and went off to talk to Cole.

She dragged me into a room shutting the door. She grabbed my hand looking at the ring (Oop not me just now noticing they don't actually have fingers :l Let's just ignore that small detail....Also I didn't really want the yang thing. I wanted a wedding :p)

"He asked you?!" She squealed.

"Yes!" I squealed back Pix walked in.

"I noticed the ring." She said with a smile, "Congratulations."

Cole stood leaning in the doorway with a smirk, "You lasted about 30 seconds." 

I scoffed and gave him a smirk, "Right. I heard you tell Jay, Kai, Zane."
