Tess hummed along to Pentatonix's God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen as her dad paced agitatedly across the living room as he practically shouted into his phone. "Tay, I'm not hiring you to make a comeback. I'm hiring you to keep my daughter and I out of the media. I'm taking her to my mom's for Christmas while this all calms down."
Ok, I get that, but the news has been going crazy with speculations that you may make a comeback now that the divorce is finalized. I'm just saying, Win, you have to strike while the iron is hot.
Win rolled his eyes. "I've already told you, Tay. I have no intention of making a comeback. I retired so I could raise Tess and just because Lovely is no longer in the picture, doesn't change the fact that I am still intending to stay retired so I can raise Tess."
Win, you can raise Tess and still have projects. Come on. It's the end of November and you are leaving for at least a month. You could release a couple of Christmas singles while you are out there. Everyone does Christmas music. It's not big enough to be a comeback, but it'll be an unexpected gift for the fans that supported you throughout this entire scandal.
Win sighed. "I'm not going there to work. I'm going there to get away from all of this drama, and I want Tess' face to stay out of the media circuits. That's all I'm paying you for, Tay."
Ok, ok. I will make sure that your whereabouts stay out of the media for as long as possible. Although, it won't be hard to dig up since you are simply going to your hometown. But I'll keep Tess' face out of the media. I'll do my end, but please, please consider some jaunty jingle tunes. I will send you some music over for you to look at.
Win groaned in aggravation. "Fine, Tay. It's not like I can prevent you from sending them to me, but when I don't send you any covers in response, don't say I didn't warn you," he sassed back.
