Lola
The strong, chilly winds of November were beginning to take effect, making my hair billow in wispy strands anytime I go outside. Chloe calls me daily, even with us seeing each other at school, she seems to crave the sound of my voice.
Or you know, I'm just being fucking delusional.
I sighed as I walked over to my favourite cafe, my headphones playing a love song from my most recently created playlist.
Yes, I'm whipped, thanks for asking.
I pushed the glass door open, a little bell rang to alert the barista waiting for me. She looked up from her phone, and this is precisely why this place is my favourite : Chloe works here on weekends.
"Hi! The usual?" She trilled, making me smile at her cheery tone, a stray butterfly fluttering in my stomach.
Fuck, I need to get rid of these soon.
"Actually, can I get whatever's your fav?" She blinked, and I could swear I saw a bright pink blush carpet her cheeks. She squeaked in excitement, rushing to get my drink ready, I had to hold back my overly enthusiastic smile. Unfortunately, I could not stop the blush that began creeping up my neck to coat my cheeks in crimson.
The drink was finished in no time, the blonde being the efficient worker she usually is.
"Here you go! Caramel milk tea boba with tapioca pearls!" She exclaimed brightly, positively beaming at the fact that I was going to try her favourite drink.
She watched me carefully as I took a sip, sucking up some tapioca pearls. The sweet caramel tea filled my mouth in a delicious wave of sweetness. A small, chewy pearl interrupted my savouring, so I began chewing it, melted tapioca coating my tongue. The drink was pure bliss, absolutely delicious.
"Mmh, Chloe," She perked up, focusing on me and me only, her face taught with nervousness, "Chloe this is heaven." Her expression melted into a gorgeous smile, her eyes sparkling with joy. She ran out from behind the counter and wrapped me up into a bear hug, holding me tight.
I thought my heart would burst from the contact with how quickly it was pumping blood in my chest.
She's hugging me, fuck she's hugging me.
My stomach was a twisting mess as she nuzzled her face into my neck, I tentatively put my hands on her waist. Hopefully she would get the message.
"I'm so glad you like it." She mumbled into my shoulder, holding me even tighter.
Ok this is lasting too long for it to be platonic.
"Like it? I love it!" I said, running my fingers through her golden locks. She felt so impossibly warm and soft, I don't want to let go. Ever.
Unfortunately for me, she pulled away, avoiding my gaze as she blushed furiously. I smiled a smug smile, pointedly keeping my hands firmly on where they were on her waist.
The sound of my blood rushing in my ears was deafening. Oh the things she makes me feel.
I looked over my shoulder, noticing that no one was coming. I decided to act upon my impulse and I pulled her into the back room.
"Hey! Lola, we're not really allowed back here, well I mean I am but not you what if we get caught or something, I don't want to get fired I mean-"
"Shush, darling." I muttered as I placed a finger on her lips, silencing her. Her eyes crossed as she stared at my hand, I watched her gulp, following the bulge of her throat with my eyes, wishing she could swallow my tongue like that.
