Agent Meeting

It was a cool day in Octo Canyon. The perfect day to relax, off duty.
Niki was sitting on the couch, watching the TV. Callie was asleep next to her, a Magazine over her eyes. Marie was seated on the other side, scrolling through Inkstagram on her phone.
Yes it was a very slow day, which bored the three of them.

"Guhhhh, I'm so boredddddd." Whined Niki, turning off the TV.

"Why don't you go do something for fun then?" Asked Marie.

"Because I don't feel like going out into the city, it's too crowded today!" She groaned.

"I do admit it's really quiet without Gramps or Agent 3 around." Said Callie, yawning as she woke up from her nap.

"Oh! Agent 3?!? You guys haven't told me anything about them! You've only mentioned them a few times, tell me something about them! Pleaseeeeee?!?" Asked Niki.

"Really? You wanna hear about 3?" Asked Marie.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah!" Said Niki, her yellow eyes gleaming with excitement.

"Well alright, Cal, get the scrapbook."

"Why do I have to?" Callie whined.

"Because I said so now go get it." Marie said.

"Finneeeee." Callie groaned, getting up and walking over to the shack.

"Now 4, agent 3 joined when she was around your age. She was 17 I'm pretty sure. Now she's around 19." Marie said.

Niki squealed and sat in front of her mentor on the ground like a kindergartner hearing a story book.

"She's real tough, and real serious. But she's got a soft spot for us and the Cap'n, and she's probably even better at a charger than I am. You should see her with an E-liter, she's an absolute killer." Said Marie. "Plus she reached S-rank fast."

"Woah! She's an S-ranker?!?" Squealed Niki.

"Yup. Thanks Cal." Said Marie as her cousin handed her a thick worn old book.

She flipped it open and motioned for Niki to sit down next to her. Niki scrambled back onto the couch and leaned into her teacher's shoulder, staring at the page she opened to. Callie watched over Niki's shoulder, with just as much interest as the agent.

"This was Three's first day here, she had gotten off work from her job at Ammo Knights and Gramps caught her attention." Said Marie.

The picture was of an old man with a poncho that had badges and medals pinned to it.
Then Agent 3, oh she looked so cool, to Niki at least.

She had sharp green eyes, and long green tentacles. A small smirk was on her face as she posed next to the old man.

"Woahh, what's her name?" Asked Niki.

"Well, Agent 3's name is-"

"Her name is Jae. Jae Kross." Said a woman's voice behind them.

They all jumped and turned around.

A group of four people stood behind them, an old man who looked like the guy from the photo, Pearl and Marina, and Agent 3!

"Gramps! Jae! You guys are back!" Squealed Callie, jumping up off the couch and hugging Cap'n Cuttlefish.

"Hello my dears! How was everything while I was gone?" Asked Cuttlefish, hugging his Granddaughter happily.

"A lot happened but it's good to see you Gramps." Said Marie joining the hug.

"Oh yeah! We got a new Agent too!" Said Callie.

"Really?" Asked Cuttlefish.

"Yup, Four come here." Said Marie, leading Niki over to the green inkling and their Grandfather.
