3 Days until Christmas

I lie in bed with my eyes closed, not ready to get up yet. What's weird is that I didn't hear my alarm go off yet. Never have I ever woken up before my alarm so you can imagine how shocked I am feeling.

Slowly, I open my eyes and look at my clock on my bedside table. My eyes widen as I see the time, 10:35. Shit!

I quickly scramble out of bed tripping over my blanket in the process. Why the hell didn't anyone wake me up? I get up with a groan but freeze when I hear someone laugh behind me. I spin around to see Kate leaning against my door with a cup of coffee in her hands. Coffee would be so great right now.

"Why didn't anyone wake me up?" I shriek as I rush to my closet to get dressed.

"Because you aren't going to school today." She says simply and takes a sip of her drink. Her stomach is still flat but you can see the hint of a bump.

I turn to her confused. "Why am I not going to school today? Not that I actually want to go to school."

"Because we have Christmas shopping to do," she begins, "You should be grateful that I got you the day off. It took a lot of persuading to convince Mom and Dad."

That reminds me; Nora wanted us to go Christmas shopping since last week. "Can I invite Nora to come with?"

She smiles at me and takes another sip before saying, "I knew that you would want to invite her so I spoke to her last night and she somehow got permission to skip and come with." My sister knows me so well.

I grin at her. "Thanks."

She turns to leave but stops and faces me again. "Oh, and you have to wash up for the next two weeks." She says with a smirk before walking away. Dang it! I should have known that she would make me pay for the day off.

Since I'm up I might as well get done so I make my way into my bathroom to take a shower and brush my teeth.

As I walk out of the bathroom, my phone beeps. I pick it up and see a message from Noah:

Why aren't you at school? You better be sick or else I'll drag your ass out of that bed and take you to school in your pyjamas.

I laugh and reply to his message:

Got the day off to go Christmas shopping with Kate and Nora :) don't miss me too much

*gasp* why didn't you invite me too? :( at least now I won't have to see your ugly face

Oh no you didn't. You love this face :p And would you really want to spend the day with 3 girls dress and shoes shopping?

I put my phone on my bed with a smile and finish getting dressed. Just as I tie the laces of my Chucks, I hear someone yell:

"Honey, I'm home."

I'm friends with an idiot, everyone. I take a deep breath and prepare myself for the day ahead because I can tell that it is going to be one hell of a day.

As I walk towards my door, I see something stuck to it. When I get closer, I see that it is the red clue card. How this dude knew that I wouldn't be at school to get it is a mystery. I open it and read what it says:
