To say that I got any sleep last night would be an overstatement. The entire night I twisted and turned trying to eradicate the swarm of butterflies in my stomach and the constant guessing game going on in my head. Despite my lack of sleep I was bouncing with energy and a tinge of nervousness at the events that were about to happen today.

Nora, who was snoring softly next to me after spending the night, was unaware of my battle between being calm and totally freaking out which definitely benefitted me because today was not the day to deal with a grumpy Nora.

After lying in silence for a little while longer I couldn't contain myself. I launched myself only Nora and shook her shoulders, whisper-shouting, "Nora, wake up! It's Christmas!" I just about missed her arm as she swung it to cover her eyes, grumbling.

"Shut up, Juliet. I'm trying to sleep." She moaned.

I rolled my eyes and gripped the sheets, tugging it onto the floor. With a sigh, she lifts herself off of the bed, yawning in the process.

"Fine. Let's go open presents." She trudges to the door as I skip next to her.

I always loved opening presents early Christmas morning because it was a great way to start the day and making my family members and friends happy with the gifts I had so thoughtfully gotten them.

As I make my way down the hall towards the stairs I pound on my parent's and sister's bedroom doors, hoping they make it downstairs before we open the presents. When Nora and I reach the bottom of the stairs the front door is swung open, almost flying off its hinges. Dressed in animated onesies are Noah and Daniel, arms cradling wrapped boxes and bags in both arms.

"Ho Ho Ho!" bellows Daniel as we reach them.

"Merry Christmas, bedheads." Noah smirks as we make our way towards the living room, where the Christmas tree and presents are situated.

My mother, father and sister enter the room shortly after we do, looking equally tired. "Let's get this over with so that I can go back to be." Kate groans. Pregnancy real takes a toll on you, apparently.

After exchanging plenty of gifts including a custom soccer jersey with my name on it from Noah, guitar accessories from Daniel and sexy lingerie from Nora, that wasn't going to be used anytime soon, we were all pretty hungry.

As tradition, I took charge in the kitchen making a variety of breakfast foods from pancakes to bacon and as I was making them, they were constantly being devoured by my beast-like friends. It was a miracle that there was some food left over for me to eat.

My mother saunters into the kitchen, dressed with no trace of tiredness on her face, and explains the plan for the day to us. "So the girls are getting dressed here and I assume you boys are going to get changed at home because that's where your clothes are. Afterwards, all 4 families will meet here and we'll leave together to the hotel."

With nods, we all rise from the kitchen table and make our way towards the lounge to watch the Christmas Day movie that always makes an appearance in the early morning. The boys take both of the longer couches while Nora and I share the medium sized couch. The movie that we've watched dozens of times goes unnoticed as we discuss our upcoming afternoon at the hotel.

"I can't wait to taste their dessert. I've been dreaming about them for weeks." Moans Daniel, eyes closed with a content look on his face. I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited to taste their selection of chocolate treats.
