Okay so In this...uh Macaque and Wukong didn't actually get on "good terms"

They're just 'friends' for Mk
———————
A few months after the ink demon and jade emperor (azure)incident
December 22 (idk)
8:30 am

Wukong was waiting for Mk at a little cabin he built to pass as a house while he found a better place to live at.
they were supposed to do a surprise party for the rest of the group to celebrate their last victory and try to ease the tension created after the fight with azure lion and the ink demon.
Just him and Mk.

Or atleast that's what he thought.

Mk arrived and walked in greeting the monkey king "hey monkey king!hope you don't mind i brought some people over to help out" my walked in and wukong, confused but curious, stepped forward towards the door to get a better view of the people coming in.

First to enter after Mk was Redson, waving politely at wukong before being pulled by Mk and taken to a house tour by mk himself.(I don't know how to write this,I'm way too tired)

After him followed that familiar black furred monkey, macaque.

Wukong stared as he repressed his hundreds of thoughts.

Not very nice thoughts...

"Why are you here?" Wukong whispered hiding the argument from the boys on the kitchen "Why do you ask me? Ask the kid. He just dragged me here" Macaque responded, quite irritated, but still quiet enough so mk and the other boy couldn't hear.

Before Wukong could ask Mk why the he decided the uninvited guest had to be macaque, they heard a crashing noise at the kitchen and turned to see mk and Redson picking up small pieces of glass "what did you kids break now?" Wukong asked as he turned away from Macaque.

After picking up the glass and utterly forbidding the boys to ever go near the kitchen, the monkeys and the fire prince got to decorating the outside.

After a few hours the place was perfect, the only thing left was to kind of disguise the house so it didn't stick out as much as it did.So they threw a couple of decorations over it and made the outside look presentable.
/————/

Mk and Redson were in charge of getting the guests, while wukong and macaque were in charge of making sure there was food for everyone "REAL food, monkey king" mk said as he summoned his cloud to leave with Redson.
Wukong nodded and the kids flew away, a smile on both their faces.

"So what now?" Wukong asks to break the silence, as he turns around he notices, nothing.
Macaque left to who-knows-where.

So Wukong walked to his kitchen and found his former partner there, already cooking. Wukong speaks up again, a stern tone to his words, "so, what are we going to do?"
Being ignored got on his nerves, specially when it was macaque.

"Here, do something with this" Macaque chucked a tray of vegetables to Wukong, who almost dropped it.

Wukong rolled his eyes and began chopping the vegetables up.

Time passed by and the company began to feel less and less uncomfortable. Both the monkeys being too focused on the task at hand to argue about every little thing.

Then the guests arrived, mk and Redson barged in the house and shoved their way through the door, hurriedly pushing the monkeys to finish the food and get it outside.

It toke a pigsy, a wukong,a macaque and a sandy to get all the food out, but as they set the table, they all had a good look at the food and their mouths practically watered at the sight.

"Monkey king, this is real food right?" Mk said as he looked wukong up and down with suspicion. The mind nodded and with a pretty backed up argument from macaque, also including a picture as evidence (that Wukong didn't know he had taken) it was enough to convince mk of the food not being hair.

The night flew by and the group shared jokes, tales, anecdotes and memories. There were as many tears as there were laughs, and some of the members of the group, having drunk a lot of 'apple juice' started drunkenly apologizing and crying about things they didn't really want to remember.

After hours they all returned home.Mk and Mei, being the ones who took everyone home, had to put up with everyone's whining and yelling about their problems until they finally got to the last two guys.

"Behold, Mac and Wukong, finally getting along" Mei says as mk stops the car and shuts off the engine as they finally get to flower fruit mountain. "What do you mean finally? They've been friends for a while" mk opens the door to find Macaque resting his head on Wukong's shoulder as Wukong himself rests his own head on Macaque's.

"Aren't they adorable?...when they finally shut up?" Says Mei as Mk drags a sleeping Wukong onto his back "oh come on, their banter isn't that annoying...sometimes" Mei chuckles as she throws macaque onto her back and shuts the door.

It was a quick hike to the cabin on the mountain.
Not too long after getting the monkeys in bed, mk and Mei walked back to the car, exhausted.

They wished for the day to finally end, and to finally go home.

— a few hours later—

It's an understatement to say that when macaque and Wukong got up, they were less than happy, not to mention their lack of sobriety made things much worse.

Macaque began as Wukong struggled to get out of the bed without tripping over the sheets.

"How about an apology?!" Macaque yelled at Wukong, who scoffed and replied with a stern tone "an apology?! Why should I apologize?!"
Wukong said as he finally untangled himself from the messy sheets.

Macaque's eyes widened "are you actually asking that?!?" Wukong, knowing he messed up, just winced at Macaques tone, but kept his head high.

"I've been revived for decades wukong, centuries, even, and not once have you come to Atleast check on me!?" Macaque exclaimed, and wukong could not help but scoff "You think I didn't try?!? I looked for you for what felt like ages!?"

Their screams and shouts echoed across the mountain, the baby monkeys, who were much too used to it, having to cover their ears.

It lasted almost the entire night, until they finally stormed out onto their respective corners of the island, Wukong went high, Macaque went low.

As they later in the floor of the mountain and beach they pondered and grumbled, blaming each other about what happened.
But sighing every time they blamed the other.

They would never admit it but, fighting so much hurt.

Not physically, but emotionally.

They had gotten so used to the back and for the hate they threw at each other that they were starting to forget what they liked about each other.

And they didn't want to forget.

Macaque and Wukong went to sleep at 4am. Undisturbed by each other, but disturbed by their own thoughts.
