Taehyung looked utterly dumbfounded as someone unceremoniously deposited a human-sized bunny into his lap, who wasted no time latching onto his neck.

“What is this, Jimin?” he shot a glare at his friend, who only rolled his eyes in response.

“He was asking about you and then jumped on my back, demanding I bring him to you.”

“That doesn’t mean you should’ve dropped him in my lap.” Taehyung muttered, unconsciously steadying Jungkook by holding his back to keep him from falling.

“Whatever,” Jimin sighed. “I’m leaving. You handle him. Boss called, and we’re set to leave in two days. I’ve already informed Min Yoongi to check the roadsides so we avoid any trouble. He wants to meet with me—can I go?”

“He asked you or you—Jungkook, stop squirming!” Taehyung scolded when the younger man kept fidgeting on his lap.

He asked! So, can I leave now?” Jimin pressed.

“Yes, please.” With that, Jimin gave his signature eye smile and left, leaving Taehyung sitting in the backyard, texting his men.

“Now, can you stop moving? Wait, why are you untying this?” Taehyung nearly panicked when Jungkook began to tug at the knot of his bathrobe.

“It’s uncomfortable, and I’m sweating. Look,” Jungkook replied, trying to loosen the robe.

Taehyung quickly gripped the knot to stop him. “Do you want to roam around naked or something? If you want this off, you’ll have to put on clothes.”

“They’re no good,” Jungkook pouted.

“Who told you that?” Taehyung asked.

“Mama said so. If you don’t want me walking around naked, then get me some better clothes,” Jungkook replied confidently.

“They’re fine,” Taehyung insisted, his patience thinning.

“They’re not! I touched them; they’re rough,” Jungkook argued, now visibly frustrated.

Taehyung exhaled slowly, feeling his temper flare. He wasn’t used to dealing with anyone like Jungkook. After a moment, he called over a guard.

“Give me your phone,” Taehyung ordered, and the guard handed it over. “Here, pick something you want.”

“Online shopping?” Jungkook asked, his eyes brightening. Taehyung, however, rubbed his temples in frustration.

“No. I don’t do online shopping. I want to go to the mall.”

That was the last straw for Taehyung. He opened his eyes and glared at the younger man.

“WE’RE NOT HERE ON VACATION. CAN’T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?”

“You’re yelling at me?” Jungkook’s voice wavered.

“Yes, I am! You need to listen whether you like it or not.”

Jungkook’s eyes welled up, but before the tears could fall, he wiped them away, glaring defiantly at Taehyung. Without warning, he snatched the phone from Taehyung’s hands and threw it onto the tile floor, shattering it into pieces. Both men stood in shock, as did the guard, whose phone had just been destroyed.

“I WON’T STAY HERE!” Jungkook screamed directly into Taehyung’s ear, almost making him deaf, before scrambling out of his lap and running off before either of them could react.

Jungkook darted down the corridor, with both Taehyung and the guard in pursuit. He didn’t stop even as vases toppled and curtains snagged at his feet—he was much faster than either of them.

Taehyung huffed in frustration, watching as Jungkook sped downstairs.

“CLOSE THE MAIN DOOR, YOU IDIOTS!” he shouted at the stunned guards outside. But it was too late—Jungkook had already slipped past them like a whirlwind.

They all rushed out into the open, facing the jungle. One of the guards turned to Taehyung nervously. “Boss, what should we do now?”

“Nothing, just stare at me…” Taehyung replied sarcastically before kicking a nearby tree in frustration. “Do you even understand how deep and dangerous that jungle is? He’s the boss’s son! If anything happens to him, we’re all dead. Who told you to leave the door open?”

The guard paled, and Taehyung clenched his fists in exasperation. “Don’t just stand there like idiots—split up and start searching every corner. I want him found, safe and sound. Where’s Namjoon?”

“He went to the market with Seokjin. We were running low on groceries.”

“For fuck’s sake,” Taehyung muttered under his breath. “Everyone forgets their job the moment we get here. You guys go that way. I’m heading north.”

“Let me come with you, boss,” the guard asked, worried.

Taehyung shot him a cold glare. “Just go.”

Climbing up a nearby tree, Jungkook huffed, shutting his eyes to stop the tears from falling. Sitting on a sturdy branch now, he tried to compose himself. Climbing trees had never been difficult for him, but holding back his stupid tears—that was hard.

How dare that man yell at him? Was Taehyung heartless? Jungkook swore that if he were the angel of death, he would’ve taken ‘Mr. Criminal’s’ soul first and played football with it.

How could any normal human shout at someone so pure? He wasn’t being egotistical—he’d grown up hearing such things about himself. Was it all a lie? He repeated to himself—he wasn’t a bad kid.

Maybe he was just being dramatic—

“Shut up,” he mumbled.

“Okay,” he answered himself softly.

Meanwhile, Taehyung approached a large tree, panting from exertion. His body was tense, a mixture of fear and fury coursing through him. That boy had pushed him beyond the brink of carelessness.

From his perch, Jungkook watched as Taehyung stopped near the tree he was sitting on, just far enough not to notice him. Pouting, Jungkook observed the nearly frantic man looking around in desperation.

“That’s right, Mr. Criminal, you deserve this,” Jungkook muttered under his breath. “First, you separated me from my bun bun, and then you yelled at me. You think I’m going to just take it like everyone else? Ha, never. Now you’ll know what trouble feels like. Once I get to Dada, I’m going to tell him everything. You’re a mean, heartless criminal. Not at all like my dream prince,”

he grumbled, momentarily forgetting that Taehyung was directly below him.

Taehyung, however, spotted the hem of Jungkook’s white cotton bathrobe from a distance. Relief flooded him as he closed his eyes for a brief moment. He had found him. But what he would do when he finally got him down from there—he wasn’t quite sure.
