If there were a competition for the most disgusted expression, Jungkook’s face would have won a platinum medal.

Since Taehyung brought the kidnapped boy into the car, Jungkook had been making the weirdest faces, like he’d smelled something truly foul. Taehyung glanced over, his own face a mixture of confusion and mild annoyance.

The boy had been acting strangely, caught in some weird thought loop, all while clinging to Taehyung like his life depended on it. Not that Taehyung hadn’t hugged him back—he’d returned the hug purely to comfort the poor kid, of course. Nothing else, he reassured himself. Absolutely nothing else.'yep'

Anyway, back to Jungkook. Taehyung waited a minute, hoping he’d snap out of whatever strange daydream had him so preoccupied. But nope, no luck. So, he decided it was time to break Jungkook’s bubble.

“Jungkook…” he started, but got no response.

“Jungkook, are you even listening?” He sighed, frowning at the boy.

Still nothing. Annoyed, Taehyung shook Jungkook’s shoulder. That did the trick—Jungkook jumped as if he’d just been shocked by a live wire.

“WHAT? Eww, eww! What? Why are you poking me like that?” he shouted, pulling a face as if he’d just been offended by the poke of the century.

Taehyung’s expression darkened. Sure, he was starting to feel a bit more comfortable around Jungkook, but the boy’s attitude was seriously testing his patience.

“Behave yourself, Jungkook, or else,” Taehyung said, his voice low and menacing, hoping to put the boy back in line.

“Or else what, Mr. Criminal? Or else what?” Jungkook shot back, eyes narrowed in defiance. “You’re not going to bring my Bun-Bun back, right? You’re just going to take me back? Fine! I don’t even want to stay in this gross—ahh!”

Jungkook’s complaints were cut off as Taehyung pulled him into his lap, clamping a wide hand over his mouth, his palm practically covering half of Jungkook’s face.

“Listen,” Taehyung muttered, his voice controlled but firm. “I can tell something’s wrong. Now tell me why you’re acting like this, and don’t even think about yelling at me again. I may be acting nice, but don’t think I forgot how to use my gun.” He felt Jungkook’s defiance melt a little as his eyes softened.

“Now,” Taehyung continued, “what’s bothering you?”

Jungkook mumbled something against his palm and bit down, though barely, his bunny teeth not even grazing the skin.

“How are you supposed to tell me anything with my hand over your mouth, huh?” Taehyung sighed, releasing his grip and motioning with his eyes for Jungkook to speak.

Jungkook took a breath, his lips forming a pout as he recalled the disturbing sight. “I… I saw something.”

“And what was it?” Taehyung asked, curiosity creeping into his voice. He relaxed back into the seat, one hand casually settling on Jungkook’s waist while the other rested on his lap, given that the boy was still sitting on him.

“It was disgusting,” Jungkook replied, scrunching up his nose. “They were, how do i say uh, dirty stuff.” His pout deepened, and Taehyung tried focusing on the car’s ceiling, anywhere but Jungkook, who was proving to be a major distraction.

He was no teenager; he understood his feelings well enough. But Jungkook was a forbidden fruit, something he could only admire from afar. Not to mention his behavior, he reminded himself. Definitely not my type. Too wild and spoiled. Nope, definitely not love. He’s just… attractive. Yes, that’s it. Nothing more. 'you can sue him if its anything else.'
