Chapter -9

"Main tha vo jisne attack kiya tha" dev finally repeated his statement on getting no response from Ananya.
Anu looked at him hurt at first but then calmed a bit as she heard him say.. she looked back at her reflection in water which was now normal.

Dev-(sat beside her and raised his eyebrows) naraz ho? Ki maine bataya nhi?
Anu- main toh sirf friend hu na aur vaise bhi meri memory mere saath nhi thi aur tumne yaa toh mujhe pehchaana nhi accident ki wajah se yaa fir tumne yeh sab natak kiya... Reason tum jaante ho na isiliye batao jo batana chahte ho...

She just wanted to cry her heart out after finding him. And moreover when he was his childhood friend whose portrait she always wanted to complete. With whom she felt a connection. Her heart do gave her an indication when she met Dev for first time in college but she doesn't want to conclude anything and hurt herself in this process. Already she was broken enough to face another one. But she stopped her urge as she want to listen his side of story. She wants to listen the reason.

Dev-mujhe pta hai bahut questions hai aur mere jawaab ka intezar hai... Toh main yeh kehna chahta hu ki... Jab timnasa ne attack kiya tha tab Maharaj Aditya Pratap ne mujhe unke bete.. aur tumhare bhai ko surakshit haathon mein dene ki zimmedari di thi...(her face was clearly showing shock) Unhone mujhe ek roshni ko follow karne ko kaha aur yeh bataya ki jaha par yeh roshni rukegi vaha par main usse rehne ke liye chod du... Par main uss samay itna capable nhi tha ki apne mind ko control kar sakun isiliye timnasa uss chuppi Shakti ka pata nikal sakti thi... (He paused a little and looked at ananya who eyes were in doubt) haa... Tumhare BHAI ke haathon ki TIMNASA KI HAAR likhi hai...

He continued looking at his reflection remembering the most difficult phase of his life.
"Timnasa bahut strong aur skilled thi... Chahe koi bhi shakti ho vo uspar maharat(specialisation) haasil kar hi leti thi... Isiliye mere yeh kaam karne ke baad uss roshni ne memory erase kar di thi taaki timnasa ko pta na chale. Yeh sab hua usme sirf mujhe itna yaad tha ki maine usse kahi bheja hai.. kaha aur kiske paas yeh nhi pta... Jaise hi yeh kaam huwa main swet lok aaya jo tab tak kaal lok ban chuka tha... Har jagah tabahi dikhi... Fir ek portal jise emergency mein open karte hai uss se TUMHARE SENAPATI ne sab jo log jeevit bachhe the unhe ek surakshit jagah bhej diya... Main yudh bhoomi mein gya par tumhe timnasa ke hathon tadapte huwe dekha... Maine khud ko uss time helpless feel Kiya.. (his voice became heavy. It was not his usual carefree and jolly tone) mujhe kuch samjh nhi aya and next maine attack kiya... "

" But main uss time par itna powerful nhi tha... Powers abhi jaagrit (activate) nhi huwi thi... Main lada tha par mujhpar kaalshastra ka prayog kiya gya... (Her expressions changed)Uske baad meri aankhein band ho gyi... Aur jab usse tab 2 saal ho gye the iss haadse ko... (She gasped and he looked at her with small painful smile) board ke exams isiliye tumhaare saath diye the... "He added.

" Sab kuch adapt kar paana easy nhi tha... Sab mere zinda hone se hi hairaan the... Specially Timnasa... mere upar abhi bhi kaal shastra ka effect hai... aur inn do saalon ki yaadein mujhe darati thi...itna suffer karte huwe dekha toh maa ne mujhe support kiya... Even Mehar ne bhi... Bas fir ek din timnasa ne mujhse yeh support cheen lene ki taiyaari kari... Mehar mujhse door huwi kyunki usse ek mission mila aur fir kuch saalon baad Timnasa ne meri maa....meri maa ko bhi mujhse door kar liya... "He said and his voice cracked saying last line. No matter how much he tries but failed to hide his emotions when it comes to his mother.

Anu- timnasa ne tumhaari maa ko bhi... (Her face changed from pain to anger)tumne kabhi kissi ko bataya nhi?? (She kept her hand on his shoulder to support him. She doesn't know what to say to him who is handling all his problems behind his smile)
Dev- maine tumhe aur devki ji ko bachane ka bahut prayaas kiya par.. main asafal raha...
Anu kept quiet not answering anything. She doesn't want him to feel sad anymore on past on which they had no control. She was going to speak when dev looked at her intensely and said "apne pita ke baare mein nhi puchogi?"

This question was in her mind but she doesn't ask anything.
Anu felt emotional and asked with a little hope left "tum... Tum unse mile ho....? Mtlb... Tumne..." Words did not come out from her mouth. He did not answer her. She signalled him to complete but he stood up and forwarded his hand to her. She accepted it still waiting for him to answer.

"Mere saath chalo." he said and she followed him.
