the rest of the week was a blur for luke.
he honestly enjoyed school a lot, the concept of learning new things and such. but the people inside the school drove him up a wall sometimes.that's why luke always got confused when people called him 'well liked' or 'popular'. he talked to like, three people at the most. luke was hot, and he knew it too, but still.
luke was rolling around on his bed, bored out of his mind that saturday. he was texting calum, but he said he needed a shower. calum's showers take twenty years to finish.
he finally decided to go downstairs and eat or something. luke's fridge had no food (or at least nothing he wanted to eat) and he groaned. he had nothing to do and he was losing his mind. luke hated being bored, he always needed to be moving.
luke practiced on his guitar for nearly half an hour, and then went back to check his phone. thankfully, calum had replied.

hello :-)luke and calum texted for a while, but calum ended up being busy and not able to hang out with luke. so, luke was back to the beginning. he had a whole day ahead of him, and nothing to do.
he could call cecelia, but he really didn't want to. they were in an unofficial fight, neither talking to the other. cecelia probably thought she was driving luke mad, but this break was nice for luke.
luke scrolled through his contacts, and most of them were either relatives or people he didn't like. he saw danny's name and paused. luke didn't really know her, but he liked her. then again, luke wasn't sure if she knew he had her number. he called anyway.
she ended up not answering, and luke was a little embarrassed. he looked through his contacts again, and decided on calling phoebe. they could go to the mall and eat or something.
three rings, and she answered.
"uh, hello?" phoebe greeted.
"hey, phebs. i was just calling to see if you wanted to go to the mall with me. we could like eat and stuff," luke said causally, but his heart was racing for some reason. he always got nervous when asking about plans. rejection was always a possibility, and luke didn't quite enjoy being rejected.
it was quiet, and luke began to regret ever calling her in the first place. she probably didn't want to go. finally, phoebe spoke. "wait, like now?"
luke chuckled, relieved a bit. "yeah, i was hoping so."
"uh...," her voice trailed off, and luke heard some shuffling in the background. "yeah, sure. it sounds like fun. who all is going?"
so many questions, luke thought. then his eyes went wide. "oh, uh, it was just going to be us, but-"
"that's fine," phoebe blurted out suddenly. "i mean, well, yeah that's fine."
"okay, i'll pick you up in fifteen-ish minuets. can you text me your address?" luke asked, standing up and fishing out an outfit to wear.
"yeah, i will," phoebe answered, and it sounded like she was doing the same thing as luke.
luke smiled. "okay, thanks. i'll see you soon then."
"yep, bye."
"bye."
