In honor of it being Fathers Day... (Sunday...)

My Daddy had me wake up at seven this morning and didn't even let me eat. He walked into my room, sat on my bed and said brushing my bed-head hair out of my face, "Morning Princess. Get dressed as fast as you can into something comfortable, and then lets go. I've got big plans for today."

I hurried to my closet and put on a pair of my jeans and rolled them up to be capris. Then I put on one of Jake's old jersey's from previous years of football that he'd given to me. I ran my fingers through my hair and put it in a high bun. My dad seemed like he was in a hurry, so I just washed my face and put on some mascara and lip stick. I walked downstairs to find my Dad standing at the bottom with two Starbucks drinks.

"S'mores hot chocolate for my little princess." I never really liked coffee, even though my dad absolutely loved it.

We walked into the garage and got into his "baby".

"So where are we going today?" I asked shutting the door.

He opened the garage and drove down the driveway. "That's a surprise." He said smiling.

There was never a moment of awkwardness when it came to my dad and I. We drove for about ten minutes when I decided to ask, "Seriously Dad, you said last night that you like Jake because he reminds you of yourself, but really what do you like about him?"

He sat there for a moment. I could tell he was thinking. Then he just turned to me and smiled, "Princess, I have never in my life found a guy I would willingly give you to. Then I met Jake. Now I'm not saying you can marry the guy, but I have a lot of respect for that kid. He's smart and knows I'll kill him if anything happened to you. But I think it was after your accident that I really started to like him. He could have just gone home and cried to his mom and about his broken little girlfriend, but he missed almost a week of school to stay with you and make sure you were okay. I couldn't even stay that long but he was willing to." he giggled and said, "Then there's the fact that he knows what my favorite pie is and went and got me some while we were at the hospital."

I just laughed and looked at him. "So you really like him?"

"For now, yes."

We drove for about an hour and a half until I realized we were in Austin. We drove up to a huge office building that looked to be over twenty stories high. The front sign said, JJ and partners.

"Dad, what is this place?" I said confused and somewhat annoyed being there.

"This is the Supernatural writers office. They disguise it as a law firm so fans won't bombard us when we're working. I just wanted to show you something."

He took me to the elevator, but I was surprised when he pushed the roof button. We went in and it took us to the roof. As the doors opened a HUGE gust of wind blew towards us. I realized on top of the roof there was a big helicopter waiting there for us. My Daddy obviously didn't want to show me something, he wanted to take me somewhere. Where the heck was he taking me? We ran up to his helicopter and got in. They had us put on these head gear so that we could talk to each other.

"Why are we in a Helicopter Daddy?" I said giggling.

"Well, I wanted to take you on a tour of Texas. Then I've got Harold waiting in Dallas for us."

We left his office at about 9:30 and were in Dallas by about 11. The flight was beautiful. I loved seeing the different parts of Texas. It was my home, and it was the one place that brought my Daddy and I together again.

Once we landed in Dallas and got in the private jet, Harold walked over with a picnic basket. My dad opened it and said, "Oh Harold. I almost love you more than my own father right now." He opened it up and saw that there was pie. "Scratch that, I love you more than my own father now."
