She couldn't stop watching the video they had recorded that night at The Ring. On a loop, she watched as Four beat up Seven in front of the raucous crowd, thirsty for all the blood she spilt.
It should've been the other way around. Four was supposed to die by Seven's hand. It was supposed to be so easy. It was so simple.
And yet, Four came away unscathed and Seven had to be hauled off to get treatment. But, in the end, he died anyway. He lost too much blood, and none of them were willing to compromise their identities for someone as unimportant as Seven.
That was the only drawback in the immense power the Professor had given them: the uniqueness of their very composition. If they needed blood, an organ, or physical donors, it would have to come from the others. Using a regular person's body would only prove fatal.
Fuck. Three hard years of trying to establish a somewhat strong line within Siege down the drain just like that. It annoyed her even more knowing that it was Four who unknowingly spat on their faces like the bitch she was.
"You have to stop that," Nine chastised from behind. She felt him bend down, grip her waist, and lightly suck on her neck. "Come back to bed. Please."
"Not until we get this bitch back to the Professor. She killed Seven."
"I know, and we're doing everything we can. You're doing everything. Isn't playing dress-up as Brutal not enough for you?"
"Oh, please." She stood up and faced Nine. Her partner. Her whole life. "What's the point? They're too focused on that Roberts agent to even care. You'd think Four would take our threats seriously, but even she has seemed to overlooked them."
"Then we'll get them in a different way. Big deal. We can do that tomorrow in the morning."
She hated how he was. Rational. Realistic. Everything she thought she once was. Not until everything went to shit when Zero and Four escaped and left them all behind.
When she remained silent, he sighed and lightly kissed her lips. "What do you want me to do?"
She licked her lips and fisted her hands. "We'll continue as planned. Send Three and Five to handle Four; we'll handle Malachi ourselves. Then, when we have them both, I can do whatever I want with the traitor."
"Do you think she remembers?"
One looked up at Nine and smiled, the first smile she's truly felt for months. It felt exhilarating— the thought of the almighty Four falling at her hands.
"I'm sure she does. And if she doesn't, then I'll make sure she remembers." She chuckled. "She'll remember the family that made her, and she'll remember that the Professor doesn't do well with traitors."

Romance"What do you want?" he whispered. I knew I should've stopped then. A part of me wanted him so bad, which was why I knew I shouldn't let myself have him. The rational side of me was begging for me to stop. "You," I whispered. It was too bad my desire...
