"See how right I was?" I crouched and traced the rough carving on the cement rooftop.

After the investigation amid the Pacifier's assassination had finally died down, we decided to look at the scene of the crime ourselves to check for anything the police may have missed. And we were right to check.

Seth crouched and took a picture of the carved B on the floor that looked like it was whittled probably using the dagger Brutal had used on me during our battle last week.

Yuna scoffed at my triumph and looked down at the temporarily closed nightclub below. "How the hell did the police miss this? It's obvious how that bitch shot the Pacifier from here."

"Calm down, Crave." Roman drawled. "They probably missed out on this when they checked the building." He sounded uncertain when he said it and gave the police an unbelievable benefit of the doubt, but it was enough to calm her down.

Seth stood and stretched his arms out, most likely from the endless nights he'd been spending in his lab at home working on anything and everything. "Incessant and childish bickering aside, this confirms that Brutal is indeed our suspect. And that she makes a mighty fine shot." He made a gesture of shooting down to where the Pacifier's dead body had been.

The building was so high up that I had to agree. And with everything I had collated about Brutal, the bullet that pierced through the poor man's neck was no accident.

Yuna scoffed again at his praise for the vigilante. "You can't be serious right now. You're complimenting Brutal?"

All Seth could do was shrug. "If you're gonna be a villain, might as well be good at it, right?"

A phone ringing cut off their conversation and we all turned around the rooftop to find out where it came from. I sighed when I realized that it was actually coming from my own pocket and gestured to them that it was fine.

"Yes, Minnie?" I greeted.

My secretary's smile radiated through the phone. "Hi, sir. Someone's here for you."

I scrunched my eyebrows in shock. Was I expecting anyone today? "Who's there?"

"I..." She hesitated, drawing it out. She finally continued after a few seconds. "Dagon was all they said before entering your office. But, I tried to stop-"

"It's fine, Minnie. Don't worry about it. I'm on my way."

I tucked my phone back in my pocket as Yuna gave me a questioning look. "Something wrong?"

Walking off to the door leading to the stairs below, I shook my head. "Nothing. Just another Dagon to ruin my day."

Minnie stood and bowed down to her waist when we got off the elevator. "How many times have I told you to not do that?" I said with a light tone.

She smiled at me and fixed her pink curls. "About nine times. But, it's fun to do it so I don't really care."

Yuna laughed from behind as I gave her a humorous eye roll and strode for the door to my office. Steeling myself to face whichever Dagon came today to chastise and annoy me for whatever, I opened the door.
