Emerson

Chapter 6.

Emerson's POV

The next morning I wake up on my own before the sun comes up.  normally wake up early as a habit. I get dressed, I put on my jeans and socks. I don't like wearing does inside so I just put on my socks. 

Reece said that I could make my own breakfast so I head downstairs and wander around trying to find the kitchen. I found it since it was right next to the dining room. I walk in finding it empty, I look through the fridge finding some eggs. 

I find a pan in a cabinet and begin making myself scrambled eggs. If the clock on the oven is right then it's 6:08 am. My eggs are done after a few minutes, I plate them up and eat my eggs while sitting on the island. 

I manage to eat up all of my eggs and wash and dry the dishes I use. I placed them all back where I found them. There is a dishwasher next to the sink. I'm really bored so I checked the dishwasher. The dishes from last night are still in there all clean. 

I start putting away the dishes having to search multiple cabinets for where they go. I finish putting away the dishes and sit down looking around the kitchen. I sit there for a few minutes loving the silence this house has. For being so large and having so many people living here it's dead silent. 

I turn around when someone enters the kitchen. Reece walks into the kitchen looking surprised when he sees me. He walks over to the coffee maker turning it on and grabbing a mug. He makes himself coffee and stares at me while it brews. When his coffee is done he comes over and sits down next to me. 

"How long have you been up?" He asks me after taking a drink. He's one to talk he's up and dressed so he's been up for a minute as well. I hold up my hands with all ten fingers and flash them three times showing 30. "30 minutes." He confirms. I nod and he nods taking a drink of his coffee. 

"You sleep good?" I nod. 

"I was thinking that around 9 we could go shopping." I nod, "Until then I have some work to do so you can do whatever you want. Griffin asked me to tell you, that the remote to our TV is in your nightstand and you are allowed to watch anything." I once again nod. Reece leaves the kitchen with his coffee. I follow after him a few minutes later going up to my room. 

I turn my TV on and go to Netflix deciding to add another profile for myself. I scroll through Netflix trying to find what looks good. I ended up watching a random TV show that was recommended. 

I'm able to watch two episodes before the noise outside my door draws my attention. Most if not all the brothers are awake now. Someone knocks on my door. I open it to see Griffin standing there in sweatpants and a tank top. 

"Hey, we're going downstairs to have breakfast if you want to come eat with us."

I nod and hold up a finger for him to wait a minute, and turn off my TV. I follow him downstairs as he fills the silence talking about random things. He tells me about his school and the drama that goes on. I'm not excited to join him and Saint. 

We walk down into the kitchen to see the boys walking around the kitchen not talking to each other. 

"Good morning," Griffin calls out sounding incredibly chipper. The rest of them grumble out a greeting most sounding inaudible. 

I sit down at the small tale with Griffin while he tries to convince Blaine to make him toast. It doesn't go well so Griffin makes his own toast pouting like a toddler, while Blaine looks rather unintrested. 

"Emerson, do you want some food?" Leon asks me. I shake my head no. "Are you sure I don't mind?" 

I shake my head no and look around for paper and writing things. I see a small notepad on the fridge with a pen. I take it and write down that I already ate breakfast. He nods and leaves me alone to eat. Everyone eats their chosen breakfast in relative silence but slowly wakes up. 

They all eat and disperse to get ready. I stay down here waiting for them since it's almost the time Reece wanted us to go shopping. 

Everyone meets back up in the kitchen for some reason, Reece comes in a few minutes later. 

"Alright, who wants to come with us shopping?" Reece asks the group. Griffin's hand shots up startling most of us. He waves his hands a little. "Ok, Grif you can come." He brings his hand smiling. 

"I can't I have to study for a test tomorrow," Leon says. 

"I can go," Knox says. Reece nods and asks one more time if anyone else wants to come. Everyone says no, well Blaine said 'Hell no' but yeah. 

Reece tells us to go get ready to go. I head upstairs and get my shoes on, brush my teeth, and run my fingers through my hair. My hair is growing really long it's past my ears and almost to my shoulders. I used to just cut it myself but I wasn't able to the last few months. 

We get in a black SUV with Reece driving and Knox in the passenger seat. Reece drives us to a mall and leads us inside. We go to a few stores mostly Griffin picking out my clothes after making me tell him my sizes. I simply walk around with him shaking my head no or nodding yes to his picks. We headed to a few other stores that weren't clothing to get some more room stuff and hygiene things I was missing. Reece and Knox leave us to shop as they go somewhere else. 

After a few stores and hundreds of dollars Reece forces Griffin to leave the mall. 

"We could have gotten you so much more," Griffin grumbles once we get in the car. 

"We can always come back," Knox tells him Griffin mocks him a little until Reece tells him to knock it off. Reece drives us back to the house. He calls one of the boys on his phone and tells them to get his brothers and come help with the bags. 

All of the boys help bring the bags to my room. They all leave me to put up my stuff. 

I turn on the TV listening to as I put away my various things. 

The rest of the day is boring the only other thing that happens is Griffin gives me a tour of the house. It mainly is bedrooms, and bathrooms, where the dining rooms and the ones I've already seen are. He showed me a few new rooms like a giant game room and a gym. He also showed me how they have a giant patio in the backyard and a pool. 

We have dinner are I go upstairs. I take another shower loving the fact that I have unlimited access to a shower now. I go to bed after a few episodes of my show.

Reece informed me at dinner that tomorrow he'll take me to the high school so that we can get everything organized for me to join the school later this week.
