12:10am THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD

I underestimated the cold. It's not unbearable, but I'd very much rather be in the diner right now. It's dark, not all of the street lamps work, but you can see the bright lights of the city.

I lied to Ace, I obviously wasn't going to this woman's house because I was curious, I was going because I saw blood on the man's jacket sleeve. As I'm walking I'm not sure whether it's actually cold or I'm just nervous because deep down I know what I'm going to find.

I know the address is right before checking on the envelope when I get to an old wooden house painted in yellow,or at least that's what it looks like in the dark, and a white porch that gives off a nauseating odor.

I don't want to do it, I really don't, but I know I have to try and open the door. As I'm walking up on the porch one of the steps breaks underneath me making a loud noise. I easily get my foot out of there. When I get to the door I notice a terrible smell, it's not a good sign. I knock on the door but as I expected no one answers. My fears increase as I try opening the door and it's unlocked. What could have happened to this poor woman?

I enter and the smell strongly intensifies, as I walk towards the kitchen I look around and even in the dark I can tell that the house's a mess. I wish I had my phone with me, but in the rush I left it in the restaurant. The kitchen is the only room with the light on, but I already got used to the dark so now I'm blinded. This room is almost too clean, especially in comparison to the rest of the house.

I suddenly remember the envelope and place it on the counter top looking at it for the first time.Perhaps I shouldn't, but I open it. Inside I find a piece of paper that looks older than the envelope, now I'm curious, but I can't read it. It's in english, however, the person that wrote it clearly did it in a hurry.

I'm scared and honestly I'm not too sure that whatever is happening isn't just in my head, so I chose to leave. I walk next to a staircase to get to the door and notice that the smell concentrates there. Slowly I start walking up the stairs and I get to a hallway with two doors and one of them is open. The smell is so strong I feel like I'm going to throw up, I look down and see a pool of blood. Instead of running away, like I should, I walk in the room and turning around I see on the wall a weird triangular symbol.

As I back up to look at it better I trip on something. Getting up I noticed I tripped on the woman I was delivering the envelope to. She's laying on the ground, covered in bruises and cuts and she has the same symbol that's on the wall carved into her left thigh.

Terrified, I run back to the restaurant.
