"And by the way, a little birdy told me there is a rat in your group, someone leaking information," Kane's words echoed in Megumi's head as he tried to sleep.
Looking at the pitch-black ceiling, his hands resting over his chest. One of his workers, A trader!? The realization sent a chill down his spine.
Megumi, the usually composed figurehead of the Fushiguro empire, now found himself entangled in a web of deceit. little did he know Brina was holding an intruder captive.
Brina held Megumi's pistol in her steady grip, her eyes locked onto the head. "Put my babies down," Brina demanded, her gaze piercing through the room. The intruder, caught off guard by the unexpected confrontation, hesitated for a moment.
Slowly he placed both the twins in their crib, his eyes narrowing at Brina. "You're way over your head, lady."
"I'm over my head? Do you have any fucking clue whose house you are in? This is the Fushiguro's, and you just touched my babies, no telling what my husband will do with you when he finds out," Brina retorted, her voice a mix of fury and determination.
Brina pushed the pistol closer to the intruder's face, a dangerous glint in her eyes. "Move" Brina pushed him, making him walk all the way to the backyard.
