]The Monday came quickly. You walked up to Briar's room and opened the door. "Dear, I told you last night I work at the daycare. So do you want to come with me?"
"Mmm... mama/papa..." she groaned tiredly as she sat up in her bed, rubbing her eyes. "To the daycare..?"
"Mhm, I'll take you out during naptime, get you lunch," you told her as you walked over to her, sitting beside her. Your hands rubbed through her messy blonde hair. It was just bedhead, easily brush-able.
She looked at you and tiredly nodded. You smiled at her and then went to her closet and chose out two outfits, well, four if you count the two different colors, for her. "Blue or Yellow?"
"Yellow!" It was one of her favorite colors. She loved the color yellow. It reminded her of the old cat you used to have. The name was Goldi, but she called her Yellow, so her favorite color became yellow.
"Do you want the skirt or not?" You asked as you lifted each in the respective. One had a skirt, and the other was more like overalls. The skirt was yellow, the shirt to go with it was white with sunflowers. The overalls were yellow, the undershirt being black with white polka-dots.
"Overalls!" She said happily as she stood up, getting out of bed to grab the outfit. She looked at it before looking back at you. "Help..?"
With a soft laugh, you nodded and crouched down to help your daughter get dressed. In a minute or two, the outfit was on, and she was ready to go to the daycare with you.
You lifted her up and walked out of her room down the stairs. You glanced at the table, nodding at how well of a cleaning job you did. In fact, you did that every day since that happened.
Walking toward the door, you remembered to grab your keys so you don't get locked out like you did yesterday. Yes, you locked yourself out of the house, only realizing after you finished grocery shopping.
"Wait! Mr Teddy!" Briar said as you buckled her into the carseat in the back. With a soft sigh, you walked back inside the house and grabbed her teddy bear from her bed.
While you were walking back out, you felt this... cursed feeling return. It's like it wanted you to cannibalize your daughter. But you couldn't do that. You can't bring yourself to do such a thing! Glancing toward the fridge, you sighed.
See, you had left just a bit in the fridge, given you had cooked it, so it was like leftovers. Briar didn't like leftovers, so she never questioned it. You opened the refrigerator and took out a small bag of meat. It smelled like steak, so it wouldn't seem weird at all... right?

"Oh! Hello, little sunray!" Sun cheered as he picked up Briar, doing a little twirl. His twirling stopped once he saw you standing by the security desk.
However, his scanners didn't register you as a 'guest' no.. it saw you as a worker. Which would explain the uniform, but... in the daycare? Why would anyone willingly choose to work here!?
"Briar, there's some time before the other kids show. Would you like to color in the meantime?" He asked the small girl as he placed her down on the ground.
Her eyes widened, and she nodded. Sun smiled at her before leading her over to the little craft tables. After she had settled, he skipped right back over to the desk, placing his hands on the counter.
"I wasn't aware you began working here," he said as he nervously looked the uniform up and down.
There was the standard guard uniform underneath a vest. The vest, however, was colored and bright, in contrast to the gray security outfit.
Half of said vest was yellow, and the other half was blue. On the yellow side, there were orange colored sparkles that faded at the top and bottom of the vest, starting in the middle. On the blue side, there were white sparkles, like stars. They were the opposite of the orange ones. These started at the top and bottom, fading out toward the middle. Now, closer to the bottom of the sleeves, there were like small cloud patterns.
Another part of the vest was the shoulder 'pads'. On the security guard uniform, there are shoulder pads that are black and only cover the shoulder. These ones go down to the elbows. The shoulder pad on the yellow half had the same colored of the blue half and vice-versa.
"Yeah... the dude at the front just let me have the job when I asked to apply," you said while scanning over the desk, not aware of the brief hearts in Sun's eyes.
He let out a nervous little laugh. "No one likes the daycare, so any chance to have someone work here, they take..." he rubbed the back of his neck, even though it wasn't really a neck.
You were about to work on something, a few things of paperwork.. and by a few, I mean, a few... stacks. Stacks of unread paper left on the sides of the desk. However, Sun mentioned something, something that made you freeze.
"I do have a question..." he paused as if to let you register the words he'll say. "Why do my scanners register you as... uhm... as a.." he struggled to say the word. You knew what he was saying, and you hoped Briar couldn't hear. "As a... cannibal...?"
