27 Hours.
'I've been sleeping for 27 dammed hours and still nothing.'
'Maybe it was all a dream after all.'
I internally sighed.
'What now? There is nothing to do here.'
I hesitantly pressed the call button.
A nurse came in a few minutes later. "Do you need to go to the bathroom again?"
My face flushed. 'This isn't even the same nurse! How did she know?'
"Y-yes.." I moved my eyes away shamefully.
The nurse sighed and I went to the bathroom with ber assistance.
"Do you need anything else?" The nurse was most likely in a hurry. But so was I. "What is there to do?"
The nurse placed a remote in one of my hands and stood stiffly. "You can watch tv, and we have a variety of books to choose from."
I hesitantly asked, "Is there any way to contact my mom?"
The nurse nodded. "We can call her for you at any time."
I thanked her and she left the room.
'Cha! That was so embarrassing! I hate being hospitalized!"
I turned on the tv with my hand, pleasantly surprised at how nimble my fingers were.
I switched through the channels, eventually settling on one that broadcasted some sort of wildlife documentary.
'National Geographic is really getting me through these tough times.' I thought sarcastically.
And that is what I did that day, simply watching National Geographic, and falling asleep to National Geographic.
But hey, at least I accomplished something.
