Your first day and you aren't sure why you feel so nervous.

You've literally been through hell as a cop. This should be a walk in the park.

Grabbing your bag, you do your best to settle your thoughts. You reach for your door, about to exit, but when you lift your head, Harry stumbles. His arm is lifted as if he were about to knock.

"Harry!"

You smile.

It's been about a week since you've seen him. After the last adventure he informed you of, you're not that surprised. You haven't forgotten how tiring fighting crime becomes.

"What are you doing here?"

It's weird for him to show up this early. Usually your meetings occur around lunch or sometimes dinner.

"You start today."

It's a statement, not a question. You're a little surprised he even remembered. A smile makes its way on your face. His little frown hasn't disappeared yet you couldn't be more appreciative. Harry continues to surprise you. It's obvious that he's caring. He just hates to let people see it. It's sort of cute. In a grumpy way.

"Did you come to see me off?"

"Yes." That's all he says.

You fully step out the door, locking it as you turn back to him.

"We should get going."

He nods, turning and heading down the hall. You follow behind with the biggest smile.

Suddenly your nerves seem so far away.

The drive is filled with Harry informing you of Cisco's constant antics and his need to mess with everything other than updating the security at Star Labs. Because no matter what, villains seem to just walk in.

Harry drops you at the entrance of the university.

"You'll do great."

There's no doubt in his voice. You can't describe how much his friendship has helped you. Hearing stories of Team Flash, even though you were no longer a member, it brought comfort. You turn back to Harry, and he looks a bit puzzled.

"Did you forget something?"

You shake your head, walking right up to him. When you lean forward and plant a kiss on his cheek, you enjoy the soft expression he wears as you pull away.

"Thank you, Harry."

You'll never get tired of saying those words.

"Okay, see ya!"

You wave excitedly as you speed walk through the gates. Harry can't help it, he laughs, tipping his hat down as your body disappears in the sea of bodies shuffling through.
