Y/N:

How is he?

Doctor:

He's out of danger now. We'll be moving him to a private room soon....you can see him then.

Hoshi:

How long until he wakes up?

Doctor:

Probably an hour or two. When he does, try not to overwhelm him....let him rest as much as possible.

Y/N:

What about the other patient? Is he going to be okay?

Doctor:

He broke his arm badly. We've put a cast on it, and he'll wake up soon. He'll need to stay here for two to three days for observation.

Y/N:

Thank you. Really, thank you.

[Both Y/N and Hoshi breathe out a long sigh of relief, the tension in their bodies easing just a little.]

Half an hour later:

Y/N:

I still don't understand. Where were they both last night?

Hoshi:

Don't you have a flight coming up?

Y/N:

Three hours from now. Just answer me.

Hoshi:

I don't want to spoil anything, but... what happened last night made me want to tell you.

[He looks at her with gentle seriousness.]

Hoshi:

Seungcheol hyung was planning to confess to you before you left. That's why he took Han hyung with him....to make sure everything was perfect before he proposed. But then... this happened.

[Y/N says nothing. She sinks into the chair and closes her eyes. After a long pause, she finally speaks, her voice steady but soft.]

Y/N:

Hoshi... I want to see him. Alone.

[Hoshi nods silently and leads her to Seungcheol's room.]

Hoshi:

I'll leave you two alone now.

[He quietly leaves. Y/N sits beside Seungcheol's bed, gently takes his hand, and presses a soft kiss onto it.]

Y/N:

It doesn't matter if it was five years ago or just yesterday....I'm the reason you're in this situation. I always make you suffer. You always get hurt because of me. I have to stay away so you can be safe. My presence only brings pain to the people I love. 

Thank you for staying by my side all this time. Thank you for being my friend, my brightest and most beautiful memory. Even if we never meet again, I will always remember you. I love you, Coups. I'm going to miss you. Please take care of yourself.

[She kisses his forehead gently, then places a folded piece of paper on the table....something she wrote before entering.]

Y/N:

Hoshi, I'm going home. When Jeonghan wakes up, tell him I love him so, so much.

Hoshi:

You're leaving... aren't you?

Y/N:

I have to. If I stay, I'll only cause more pain. My presence hurts them. If I distance myself, maybe they'll be okay.
