Smut Warning:

Hao:

Y/N... everyone... I need to talk to you about something.

[The room was still filled with quiet chatter after Seungcheol had left. The mood was light...until Hao spoke. All eyes turned to him.]

Y/N:

What's wrong?

[Minghao gave her a soft smile, though his eyes shimmered with unshed tears.]

Hao:

I'm going back to China.

Y/N:

What?!

[Y/N nearly shouted, her voice cutting through the room. The shock hit her like a wave...this was the last thing she expected.]

Hao:

Actually... I was only supposed to stay here for a month. But before coming to Korea, I applied for a degree program in Australia. They just accepted me. I need to go back to prepare.

Y/N:

Why didn't you tell me this sooner?

[Minghao looked down, guilt washing over his face.]

Hao:

I... didn't expect it to happen, honestly.

Y/N:

Right. Because PhD holders are never accepted.

[Her tone was laced with sarcasm, but her eyes were hurt. It wasn't just the sudden announcement...it was the timing, the feeling of being left out.]

Hao:

I know. I'm sorry. I should've said something earlier.

Han:

When are you leaving?

[Jeonghan's voice was gentle, knowing Y/N was trying to hold herself together.]

Hao:

The day after tomorrow. I only have tomorrow to pack.

[Minghao's eyes met Y/N's again...she was still glaring at him, arms crossed. But he smiled softly.]

Hao:

It's been really special, being here. Meeting all of you. Making memories in a country I barely knew. But more than anything, it's thanks to Y/N. If I had come here alone, it would've been a dull trip. You made it feel like home. Thank you all... for giving me so much love.

Han:

You'll always be welcome here. Next time you come to Korea, don't even think about staying somewhere else. This is your home too now.

Hao:

Thank you... truly.

[Y/N rolled her eyes with a loud sigh, trying to mask how emotional she was.]

Y/N:

How long is this going to take? Your degree, I mean.

Hao:

Five to seven years.

Y/N:

What?!

[She practically jumped from her seat. The disbelief was written all over her face.]

Y/N:

Yah, Xu Minghao! You're telling me you're leaving tomorrow, for five to seven years, and not even staying in China? You're going to Australia?!
