SAME DAY:

[Jeonghan rushed out of his house, his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly as he drove toward his office. His mind was clouded with emotions, and before he realized it, a single tear slipped down his cheek.]

Han:

It doesn't matter if he remembers her or not. They still love each other.

[A faint, bittersweet smile appeared on his lips. There was a strange comfort in that thought, even if it pained him deep inside.By the time he arrived at his office, he had gathered himself. He inhaled deeply, exhaling slowly as if trying to let go of the turmoil in his heart.]

Han:

If their happiness is in each other, then I'm happy for them.

[He stepped into the elevator, lost in his thoughts, when loud voices snapped him back to reality.]

?:

Wait, don't close the doors!

[Jeonghan instinctively reached out, stopping the doors just in time. A young man rushed in, his small frame barely visible behind a stack of paperwork he was struggling to hold.]

?:

Huff... huff... Tha... huff... Thank you so much for waiting for me.

[The boy's voice was breathless but warm, filled with genuine gratitude. Jeonghan chuckled softly]

Han:

Let me help you.

[He reached out and took half of the files from the boy's trembling hands.]

?:

Thank you. My name is Jisoo. Hong Jisoo. But everyone calls me Joshua.

[As he spoke, he finally looked up, his lips curling into a smile so bright that his eyes turned into the shape of crescent moons.Jeonghan found himself smiling back instinctively.]

Han:

I'm Jeonghan. Nice to meet you.

[Joshua's eyes widened slightly 'so handsome' was what came in his mind, but he quickly brushed it off, his excitement taking over.]

Joshua:

I'm new here. Today's my first day.

[Jeonghan raised a curious brow]

Han:

Oh! Welcome to the company. Which department are you in?

[Joshua beamed.]

Joshua:

Sales department! I'll be working as an assistant for someone named Mr. Yoon.

[For a split second, Jeonghan's expression faltered.]

Han:

A-ah, okay!

[He quickly masked his surprise with an angelic smile. Joshua, oblivious, let out a dramatic sigh.]

Joshua:

I just hope my boss isn't some rude, middle-aged guy with a bossy personality.

[Jeonghan stifled a laugh.]

Han:

Or maybe he's a good, friendly person in his twenties?

[Joshua chuckled.]

Joshua:

Who knows? A position like that isn't usually given to young people.

[Jeonghan shrugged, a playful glint in his eyes.]
