When BamBam woke up the next morning, Chan was still sleeping. Getting up he started to prepare some breakfast for his best friend and his groupmates as well. Deciding pancakes was the best option, he started to search for the ingredients. After finding them all he started to mix them to form a batter. Just then Jackson appeared and wanted to help the younger.

"Can you make the pancakes? I need to check up on Channie" after receiving a nod, the younger walked to the living room, where Chan was awake, babbling to himself. As soon as he saw the caregiver, he squealed and made grabby hands towards the older, making incoherent sounds once he was picked up. Soon resting his head on his caregiver's shoulders, the little played with his hands while his best friend carried him to the kitchen.

"I think he's just really young, he hasn't spoken a proper word since he woke up" explained BamBam to Jackson, who was watching clueless as he never saw the youngest act like he was doing in that moment.

"Okay, the pancakes are ready, if Chan needs something else I can help" offered the older.

"I don't think pancakes are the way to go hyung, I thought Channie would be older but since he is so young, there's no way he can eat pancakes now" explained the Thai boy to the older, who nodded in understanding.

"I can heat up a bottle of milk" suggested Jackson.

"Yes, please. Could you take it to the living room once it's ready? Channie will probably want to stay on my laps while drinking, and the couch will be more comfortable for both of us"

"Of course. Do you need anything else?" asked the Chinese boy.

"I don't think so... his bottles are in a box in my closet and while you're there, grab him a paci please" requested BamBam.

"Of course" Jackson nodded and went to retrieve the items.

Not many minutes later, the older was back with everything. BamBam played with the little's hair, making him giggle and squeal in happiness.

"Do you want some milk baby?" asked sweetly the caregiver to the younger, who looked at him clueless and tilted his head to the side, not understanding what was being said.

"It's okay baby, come here" the older tipped the bottle teat against the little's lips, who instinctively started to drink. Once the milk was finished Chan started to whine.

"Shh baby" BamBam caressed the little's cheek and offered him his paci, which the boy gladly accepted, starting to suck on it. In the meanwhile the older made his friend lean on his chest and whispered sweet nothings in his ear hoping he would fall asleep. At first it didn't seem to work, as the little just continued to babble, both to himself and to his caregiver. BamBam just smiled and nodded, giggling at his baby's silliness.

Soon enough, the little fell asleep, head comfortably laying on the older's shoulder, but the caregiver didn't mind one bit. All he could think about was the younger's well-being. While the little napped, BamBam used his phone, afraid that any movement could wake his friend up. After an hour or so, Jaebeom entered the living room.

"Bam?"

"Yes hyung?"

"I'm going out, do you need anything for Channie or for yourself?" asked the leader.

"Can you get me some spicy ramen for lunch? Get some natural flavor ramen too, just in case Channie wakes up big. Or at least older than now..." sighed the younger.

"Anything else?" asked the older while writing on his phone his friend's request.

"For me, just the ramen is okay. For Channie... hmm... some ice popsicles maybe, but get funny shaped ones if find them" smiled BamBam before thanking the older.

About half an hour later, Chan woke up, disoriented.

"Daddy?" whispered the boy, trying to understand where he was. Slipping to a very young age was always exhausting for him, and always left him disoriented. His caregiver knew this and tried to be as gentle as possible with the boy every time it happened.

"Hey there ducky. Had a good nap?" smiled BamBam.

The little nodded and cuddled to the older, who just smiled softly.

"What happened with Innie baby?" asked carefully the caregiver.

"Channie said bad things to Innie and was meanie" pouted the little.

"And why did Channie act meanie towards Innie?" further inquired the older.

"Because he said we nuh wike Minnie when he is smaww" explained Chan slipping slightly younger remembering what happened. Looking back, he still felt a bit angry, but realized he could've handled the situation differently.

"Me was jus' angry, nuh mean be meanie"

"I know baby, I know. But Innie didn't know and now he probably thinks you are mad at him, and not at something he said" reasoned the older.

"Buh I nuh mad at Innie" Chan's lip trembled, thinking the maknae was angry at him.

"I know baby. What should we do when there's a misunderstanding?" asked BamBam looking in the younger's tear-filled eyes.

"Tawk things out" mumbled quietly Chan, looking down.

"That's right baby. What if you stay here for a little while and calm down, and then you go apologize to Innie? Does that sound nice?" suggested the caregiver.

Chan shook his head no.

"What do you wanna do then baby?"

"Apowogise now" decided Chan, making BamBam smile.

"Ok baby, but are you sure the others aren't gonna notice you being small?" asked doubtfully the caregiver. Chan still had a small lisp to his speech, and even though it was adorable, the other members would definitely notice something wasn't quite right.

"I has to be big?" questioned Chan.

"Well, it would be better"

"Oky" and after a few seconds big Chan was back.

"Head hurts" muttered the boy.

"It's okay, take your time" assured BamBam looking at Chan's pained face.

"Let me just wash my face" said the younger quietly.

"Of course" the older guided him to the bathroom and grabbed a face towel for him while he splashed cold water on his face.

"Fuck, I look dead" commented emotionlessly the younger. BamBam looked at him, observing his reflection in the mirror. Chan's eyebags were more prominent than usual and his face was skinny at an unhealthy amount.

"You need some concealer?" offered the older.

And so, ten minutes later, Chan was ready to go back to his dorm.
