Chapter Eighteen

Allegra Genova POV

I was sitting in class and was waiting until the bell rang so that I could finally go and eat. I have been so hungry the whole day. I was staring at the board. I have English now and unfortunately Dimitri is in another class while we have English, but so are other students. They sometimes separate us and mix classes so that we would socialize more with each other or something. So I was alone in this class, only Antonio and Alina and some other students from our class in here. After a while the teacher left to do something and that gave the students a free pass to talk and walk around the classroom. But I just sat down on my seat and did all of the work so I literally had nothing else more to do. I then felt a hand on my shoulder, at first my first instinct was to take that hand and throw it in front of me. But then I remembered that I was in class and it probably was a classmate. I turned around and it was Antonio. I really don't want to talk to him right now or later. 

"Follow me outside" He just said and let go of my shoulder, but instead I just ignored him and scoffed. 

"Allegra I'm serious, follow me outside" He said but I just ignored him. That's when Alina came and looked at us. 

"Can you just please go out so it won't be this intense in the classroom?" She said and that's when I looked around and saw everyone looking at us, great. I sighed and got up, we both left the classroom and walked a little bit before he stopped me. I looked at him and he just sighed and looked at me.

"Look I know that you're mad at our parents but I don't know why you're mad at me, I was also shocked when I knew and didn't know that this was happening until like 3 months ago" He said and I looked confused. I scoffed. 

"You knew about this for 3 months and didn't tell me, no wonder why you tried so hard to break me and Dimitri up" I said and just couldn't believe what was just going on behind my back. "More and more lies are coming up, I can't believe this" I said and tried to leave but he held my hand.

"Allegra just came back, we really want you to be with us and we could be a family, I dont get why you are acting like thi I know they lied but it's not that big of a deal" He said, I dragged my hand from his grip and scoffed. 

"If you all wanted to be a happy little cute family, you shouldn't have lied to me or kept me away from a family I never knew I have" I said and just got closer to him. 

"You were the lucky one, you got the whole family and everyone that loved you and grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and a dad. But I had no one in this world except for mom and I found out she was lying to me about not having a family and about everything that really made me question everything" I said and then just left him there.

I was just walking to the bathroom, I wanted some alone time and the bathroom was the only place where I could cry alone. So I quickly got into an empty stall and locked it behind me. I then just started to cry and cry and cry. I know I have been overreacting about this whole thing but I just couldn't help to have this feeling that they kept me away from all of these things. I then came out of the stall and fixed myself up, I didn't really want to look like I had been crying. When I left I saw Dimitri outside the bathroom and first I was shocked. 

"Well hello" I said and gave him a fake smile, he then smiled and kissed my cheek. 

"Are you ok?" He asked me and I just nodded but he just looked doubtful. 

"Wanna get out of here?" He then asked me and I gave him the biggest smile.

Dimitri drove us to my favorite bakery ever and to be honest I was starving. I did order a lot of sweets while dimitri just ordered a sandwich and a drink. I ordered a piece of red velvet brownie torte which is my favorite cake ever. I also ordered buckeyes like few of those and then a strawberry cheesecake with a cold drink. Dimitri thought at first that I haven't eaten anything but I just have been super hungry these past days. The waiter came with our food and I was so excited to just eat. Dimitri just looked at me with a concerned look.
