I got ready as Veronica asked me "are you sure you're okay with this?"

I frowned and turned to face her "no but I cannot change my family's mind so I have to go through it."

She sighed and I smiled and we hugged one another as she whispered in my ear "just don't force yourself than." I nodded and she smiled.

"Well you look beautiful, pink suits you well."

I told her "as soon as I get married I'm gonna make sure you find a husband okay? Than I can imagine marital bliss from your perspective."

She smiled and told me "don't worry about me okay? I will spend my entire life with you if needed, we're best friends after all and I don't need myself...doing any sort of thing like that."

I scoffed and hit her shoulder slightly and she smiled back as we hugged.

As we got down the stairs my ladies and I saw Jughead as he saw me in my dress, he stared at me as I saw my parents and his standing behind him as I smiled walking down the extra steps as I approached Jughead and he continued to stare at me.

I looked at him and smiled while I curtsied and he grabbed my hand and kissed my hand as I gulped and he smirked "this way? Elizabeth..."

I nodded, he held my waist and we walked to the ballroom as I whispered "I hated that."

He muttered "I loathed it just as much."

We entered the ballroom as everyone stared at us, they have bows or curtsies as Jughead and I stared at one another, he smiled and bowed as I curtsied to him and he held my waist as I held his as we walked in a circle.

He whispered "I made sure your mother brought about the many women who are seeking a husband."

I nodded softly and we switched positions "good, then perhaps we begin scoping out Charles a future wife and our ticket to dissolving this stupid marriage."

He muttered "agreed."

He spun me around in his arms and held me close as we stared at one another chest to chest as he told me "everyone's watching."

He pushed me back and I held his hand and held onto him tightly "good, they must believe the act, everyone must including our families."

He agreed and said "thank you, let's make this more believable than..."

He held my face and I gulped and said "oh you better not kiss me..."

He smirked and said "just trust me."

I sighed out "kinda hard to do, but fine."

He smirked and I glared at him as he lifted me up into his arms. I gasped holding his shoulders as he spun me around.

I laughed at him and he held my face with one hand as the other gripped my waist. He dipped me closer to the ground and I followed through as he lifted me back into his arms. We continued to dance in circles around the ballroom.

I grabbed ahold of his waist as he held my face and he smiled and whispered "just trust me..."

I nodded and he smiled and suddenly began spinning me around quickly again and again but a practicing ballet I was able to follow with ease as suddenly he stopped me and held me pressing my back against his body and his head in my hair as he spun me out and into his again but this time face to face.

Our noses touched and grazed and we stared at one another and he smiled and suddenly looked out and began shouting "so sorry, I guess me and my...betrothed were too invested in our own dance. Please, everyone enjoy the party! Please come dance!"

People began coming to dance and he smiled whispering "see, now we can go out separate ways and find Charles a wife."

I nodded still stunned by what had just happened and he walked off as my ladies ran over to me.

"What was that!" Cheryl shrieked and Josie asked me "so are you guys...together?"

Veronica scoffed out "she isn't guys, it's probably just Jughead still trying to apologize."

I laughed out "yes exactly, I still feel nothing for him he's an ass."

And with that I walked off to begin my mission.

Throughout the night Jughead and I began throwing women towards my brother the entire night Charles seemed so disinterested in every woman. We started losing our patience due to us running out of the women he can speak to! We started panicking because the women were starting to swindle down to a smaller and then even smaller number.

When the night finished Jughead and I were in my room as I asked him "where did we go wrong!? He was so uninterested!"

Jughead told me "okay let's calm down, perhaps he was just shy?"

I scoffed out "I know my brother he just didn't care."

He sighed and told me "let's not give up, we still have what? Four months, we can figure this out before then can we not?"

I sighed and told him "Jughead I know women, our mothers tomorrow will be asking us 'sweetheart it's time to get your measurements for the dress and suit you need.' We are in for trouble!"

He held my hands telling me "we will figure this out okay? Now relax..."

I looked at him as he saw what he did and ripped his hands away "gross, why did I do that?"

I scoffed and turned away as he laughed out loud "just kidding."

I turned my head to him as he smirked "just kidding."

I hit his chest as I said "just leave! Don't want my parents to think we're having sex."

He smirked and left the room as I sighed and Veronica came in.

"Okay what was going on and you better tell me the truth Betty."

I looked at her and went ahead closing the door and holding Veronica's hands "Jughead and I may have found a way to break off the engagement. Charles needs to get married. If he gets married Jughead and I are free. So tonight we tried and failed but we won't give up just yet."

She smiled and told me "really?"

I nodded and she said "cause...the way you two looked at each other...it seemed so genuine."

I scoffed out "no, no, no, no. I hate him."

She smirked and said again "are you so sure? From what I saw...I never saw you look at someone like that. Even Jughead."

I smiled telling her "well I'm an actress then."

She sighed and I told her "we're gonna do this and we're gonna finally go off on our own lives and do what we want to do."

She nodded saying "fine, I'm by your side always but, please just...don't loose your sense okay?"

I sighed and nodded as she smiled hugging me and told me "come on, I have to tell you about my own little adventure today..."

I was confused as she smirked and I scoffed as she laughed and we begun talking all night long.
