"I do not want you anywhere near my home ever again!"

Nick had laughed out "she is crazy! Your wife is crazy! I would never touch a woman like that!"

I scoffed out "Betty is not a liar! Do you not dare speak ill of my Queen!"

He spat at me "says the man who doesn't even sleep with his own wife!"

I scoffed at him as I said "you are not to step foot on my home again. Go! Take him!"

The guards took him and left as I sighed and saw Archie come in and I asked him "is she okay?"

He frowned and explained "from what Veronica tells me she's been having nightmares for the last few nights...it seems she's taking the event more seriously than anyone could've thought."

I sighed and we left the Great Hall and he told me "I'm proud."

I looked at him confused "you actually defended her honor. Didn't think you'd ever do that. Especially her, you would've had an excuse to execute her."

I rolled my eyes as he smirked "you like her Jughead come on."

I scoffed out "I do not. I don't rape girls. No girl shall go through that under my rules and care."

He sighed and the Lady Veronica walked out of Bettys room and she smiled "your highness... your Queen would like to see you."

I looked at her and Archie told me "go."

I sighed and went over to her room and opened the door carefully seeing her on her bed as she was holding her legs to her chest and she looked up at me.

I shut the door and walked over sitting at her feet "are you alright?"

She shook her head and she told me "but...I heard what you did for me. Thank you..."

I smiled and told her "I may dislike you but...you did not deserve any of that and I will not take your word for granted if something like this is brought up."

She smiled and let out "you believed me...I didn't think you would I was scared about that."

I told her "you don't lie, I will not deny that much honor from you."

She smiled at me and I smiled back at her as she frowned "I'm scared I've been having nightmares these last few nights...I don't wanna be alone..."

I sighed and thought of an idea "perhaps I can arrange something."

She looked at me and I told her "I don't want you to feel bad...but you may stay in my chambers if you need to."

She laughed out "I'm not sleeping on a bed you've slept with dozens of other women in."

I smirked and told her "than we sleep in a different room together."

She looked at me and I said "of course until your nightmares stop."

She looked at me still and I stared back as she said "really?"

I nodded and she smiled and smiled back at her as she nodded and responded with "okay..."

I held her hand and kissed her knuckles saying "for now read and...you may come down to eat soon enough just keep resting."

She nodded and I rose to my feet and left as I told the maids "move my belongings into another room, the Queen and I will share a room for some time, please no questions."

She nodded and walked away as I looked over and saw an another maid "go out to town and buy a dozen lilies and roses, preferably pink. The Queens favorites."

She nodded and left as well.

𝓑𝓮𝓽𝓽𝔂𝓼 𝓟𝓞𝓥

I walked down for dinner as I stepped in the dining room. I saw so many flowers around the room with lilies and pink roses.

"What is this?" I asked Jughead and he told me "to cheer you up."

I smiled and held a lily and said "you remembered..."

He looked up at me and I said to him "I only ever told you once of this...months ago."

He chuckled out "no you didn't."

I scoffed out "yes I did."

He shook his head "did not."

I scoffed out "did too!"

He said "just sit and eat."

I smiled and sat at my seat and he pushed the chair in for me and went to sit in his own seat.

I smiled and told him "thank you for doing this Jughead..."

He nodded saying "eat up before you go to bed."

I nodded and smiled looking down at my food. Me? Smiling in this home? Because of Jughead? Never would've thought that could happen.

When it was time for us to go to bed I was on one side of the bed he went to the other side and said "goodnight."

I sighed and he blew out the candle and I gulped and said "Jughead?"

He turned back and I frowned and asked him "May I...hold you?"

He looked at me and I smiled, he sighed and groaned out "only till you fall asleep."

He adjusted himself and I laid my head against his chest as he wrapped his arm around me. I held his waist and smiled drawing small shapes on his covered chest as he muttered "sleep."

I smiled and stopped and told him "thank you again..."

I looked up at him and he nodded turning his head to go to sleep. I smiled and moved my body closer and shut my eyes and began to fall fast asleep.
