THE GROUP SAT AT THE TABLE IN THE LONELY MANSION IN NEW YORK, not knowing what their next move was going to be, they hadn't heard from their friends in two months.
"how do we prove that they didn't commit the murder?" amelia asked, making austin roll his eyes at the question, "i think we are passed that, they need a way to escape" he stated as if it was obvious.
"yeah with no way of contacting them!" amelia fired back, ethan put his hand up, signaling for them to stop talking, "look, the four of them are smart, they can make it out of this" ethan stated wisely, causing everyone to look at him.
"okay well maybe three of them... noah is just noah" ethan corrected himself hesitantly.
"they said they were going to try and get out months ago, so where the hell are they?" jade asked, making alice shrug before speaking up, "they are probably being watched like hawks! you guys ever consider that escaping from an insane asylum isn't easy!" she said as if they were all stupid.
"all we know is that violettas dad knew that miles and timothee were gonna go after him, that's why he got them locked up" austin recouped for the group to get them back on track.
"he paid off the court and cops for sure, so there is no proving them innocent..." austin began, "...but maybe what we can do is hold dirt over his head" he finished, which made everyone look at jade.
"what? why are you guys looking at me?" she asked defensively, "because you were the closest person to violetta, and we need a way to get dirt on her dad, but she's dead now so..." austin trailed off,
"—fine, i think i have a way or two to get some shit on him" she said hesitantly, making everyone perk up in surprise that they were finally getting somewhere.
but they needed to move, and they needed to move fast.

miles made his way down the long corridor in the basement carefully, he knew that if he got caught again, he'd be done for. every step he took was precise and calculated.
the past three times he got caught he got locked in solitary confinement for two weeks each time.
he stopped at the end, room b-91 was to his left, where noah originally said to go.
the only good thing about the basement was that there were no cameras in it, it made up for the fact that it was honestly just terrifying down there.
miles stared up at a red flashing light in the corner of the room, like a siren with no sound coming out of it. he opened the squeaky door as slow as he could, but no matter what he did it was going to be loud.
he approached the emergency exit, this is where he went wrong the past few times.
he had to make sure to disable the alarm correctly, the first time he didn't even know there was one, and the second and third time he thought he did and then just ended up getting caught.
he reached up carefully, pulling the alarm back and examining the wires inside, he had to guess exactly which one to rip. he already learned the hard way that it wasn't the blue or the green wire.
