THE GROUP OF DISTRESSED ADULTS SIFTED THROUGH THE DIARY RELENTLESSLY, desperate for any sort of answers or clues violetta could have left behind—-violettas death impacted them in more ways than they would've ever known.
had she been alive, none of this would've happened, and they'd be at peace.
"okay, all of this is just her boy crushes and saying she hates her parents but there's no concrete evidence" ethan said before slamming the diary closed and throwing it on the table aggressively.
jade reached across the table, grabbing the diary and flipping it open, "there's gotta be something in here, i know her" she said desperately as she flipped through the pages as much as she could.
"there's nothing in there jade, we are screwed. the four of them are god knows where, who knows if they're even alive?!" ethan put his hands on his head in distress, unsure of what their next move was going to be.
"don't say that! they're alive!" amelia said out of panic and distress, but ethan and austin shot each other knowing looks.
the more the days went on, the less likely it was becoming.
"x" was all jade said, causing everyone to turn and look at her in confusion, "x?" ethan repeated out of confusion, jade opened the diary all the way, laying it out on the center of the table for everyone to read.
"look, she writes in here about an initial named x, someone she trusts, someone who's older, someone who knows her dad" she points to the handwritten pages, but austin just shook his head,
"how do we know x isn't just miles?" he asked, knowing that the description fit him, jade moved her finger down to the bottom of the page, "because of that" she said, pointing to the phone number scribbled at the bottom.
"you think that's this x persons phone number?" he asked, making jade nod, "it's not miles' phone number, it has to be someone's, someone else she trusted, someone else she knew" jade said causing everyone to sit back in their seats.
"so what do we do? call this x person?" amelia asked as she took out her phone, which only caused austin to grab her arm and stop her quickly,
"woah woah woah— we can't call x off of our own cell phones, we need a burner, and we can't call it from here, we don't know who this person is" he said as he looked around uneasily, everyone nodding in agreement.
but then, ethan's eyes lit up, like a lightbulb went off on the inside of his head,
"i have an idea"
—
miles, timothee, and lexie stood frozen in horror as their eyes locked on the black figure standing at the end of the hall, staring straight at them—-none of them could make out the persons face.
with each flash of the green light, the person wasn't getting any closer, they were just standing there.
"lexie, back up" miles whispered lowly as he put an arm in front of her protectively, timothee doing the exact same thing—-no one could move, no one dared to move, at any moment something could happen.
but this person was not moving.
no one spoke, no one said anything.
