TIME HAD PASSED, time had been such an inevitable thing for lexie and miles, their entire life, they had always been on a time crunch.

little lyla ran across the room before she felt two hands wrap around her body and pick her up, lifting her across the ground as she giggled, feeling kisses being pressed against her cheek.

"do you know what day it is?" miles asked as he pulled away, holding her in one arm, moving things around on the counter with his other hand as they walked through the kitchen,

she giggled once again, knowing exactly what day it was.

"it's your birthday today, right bambi?" miles asked as he looked at her, but she continued smiling before she pointed back at miles making him smile,

"you're right, it's my birthday too" he said before giving her another kiss on the cheek,

he walked over to the counter, shaking her sippy cup filled with apple juice before handing it to her, she took a sip as he spoke, "do you know how old you are?" he asked her with another smile,

she held up three fingers,

"yes! that's right, you're three, you're so smart bambi" he said as he fixed her hair, he walked them around the kitchen before opening up the fridge, "and since its your birthday and daddy's birthday..." he began as he pulled a container out of the fridge,

"...i say we have ice cream for breakfast" he turned to face her as he placed the container on the counter, the little girl gasped out of shock, causing miles to mimic her gasp, which only made her more excited.

miles opened the container before grabbing her a spoon, "and..." he began before feeding her some ice cream, "...its strawberry, your favorite" he said as she took a bite, making her squeal out of excitement.

he fed her some more ice cream before lexie came walking into the kitchen, making lyla smile before she lunged forward, "mommy!" she called with a smile on her face, lexie leaned forward, giving her a kiss on the head before she spoke,

"is it your birthday today?" she asked with a smile on her face, lyla smiled as she nodded, "she knows how old she is" miles raised a brow towards lexie causing her mouth fall open upon shock and excitement,

"you do? how old are you lyla?" she asked with a smile on her face, lyla held up three fingers once again,

lexie cracked a laugh before she asked a trick question, "how old is daddy?" she asked,

she held up five fingers.

both miles and lexie busted out laughing before miles spoke, "yes, i'm five lyla" he said before feeding her more ice cream, lyla lunged forward again, wanting to be held by lexie,

"bambi look..." miles pointed down to the very small person in lexie's arms, "mommy can't hold you because she's already holding someone right?" he said softly as he turned to face her, lyla gasped as she saw the small person,

"baby!" she said with excitement, both miles and lexie smiled before lexie nodded, "yes baby, this is your brother, right?" she asked as she held her arms up, causing lyla to get a closer look at her little brother.

"baby!" she said again as she reached her hand out, touching his small head, "can you give your brother a kiss?" miles asked her gently, causing lyla to lean forward before she pressed a small kiss on her little brothers head.
