MY CHITTU KURUVI

CH-15

It was monday and Anu woke up as the alarm blared. She rubbed her eyes took her phone to check her messages. She caressed the wallpaper of her phone. It was the first picture of her and Adhi together. She sighed and went to freshen up. 

After finishing her morning routine,  and Anu brushed her teeth and took a warm shower. She came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body. Anu took a blue faded jeans and white Calvin Klein t-shirt with a blue jacket. She wore all her clothes. And then she combed her hair and let it loose. Anu applied some moisturizer and lip balm and left to to college campus.  Anu walked to the canteen and brought a juice and drank it. After that she went to her class to see her friends already there.

Sometime later the class started and Anu was taking notes. She wondered if Adhi was okay? After the argument they had, none of them contacted eachother.  Two sessions later, it was interval. Anu had walked out to find Adhi. She went to the place where Adhi and his friends would always be and asked them about his whereabouts. His friends told them that Adhi had not come to college as he was sick. Anu was worried about Adhi now. She wanted to see him but she couldn't cut her classes and so she waited for the day to get over.

When the bell rang at 4, Anu had already rushed out her classroom and ran out of the college campus. She hailed the bus and went to Adhi's place. Anu reached the location and she went towards Adhi's apartment. She knocked the door ,but there was no response. Anu entered the password and went in. 

The house was dark. Anu called for Adhi,but there was no response. She went to his bedroom to find noone there. Anu walked towards the kitchen,but stopped to see a silhouette near the balcony. Anu silently went to the balcony and saw Adhi curled up on the small couch. He hugged a photo frame to his chest and was sleeping. 

Anu felt sad seeing him like this. She kneeled down beside him and caressed his cheeks. She slowly tried to take the photo from him,but he held it tight even in his sleep. But somehow, Anu took it form his grip. She turned the photo to see and it was the same picture Anu had as her phone wallpaper.

Anu took the photo and walked into the house. She kept it in Adhi's room and cleaned the house and then went to the kitchen. She decided to cook dinner as she knows that Adhi wouldn't have eaten anything properly. Anu was preparing jeera rice and planner gravy.....

In the balcony Adhi had stirred around slowly woke up.  He felt something missing and found that the photo frame that he held in his hands were missing. He walked into the house to see the place was cleaner and a delicious smell of food wafted around.. 

Adhi went to the kitchen to see Anu, cooking something. He couldn't believe it. Was Anu really here?  He quickly walked towards her and backhugged Anu. Anu had however gasped at the sudden hug. Adhi nuzzled his face in Anu's neck and held her tight. 

Anu switched off the stove and slowly turned around still in his embrace. Anu notice that Adhi was tired. He had eyebags and looked pale. Anu leaned in and kissed his cheeks and hugged him tightly. Adhi hugged her back and the two silently cried in eachothers embrace. 

Few moments later, anu removed herself  from the hug and kept her hands on Adhi's cheek and Adhi leaned to her hand. Adhi held Anu as he was scared that she would leave him again..

Anu: poi kulichittu va,sapdalam (take a bath and come. Let's eat after )

Adhi reluctantly nodded and went away..

Anu then took the dishes she cooked and arranged them in the dining table. She plated everything and waited for Adhi to come. 10 mins later, Adhi came and sat beside Anu. She served Adhi and Adhi was staring at Anu.

Anu sighed knowing that the stubborn man baby would not eat and then she started feeding him. Adhi, like a good baby, ate everything that Anu fed. And  then, he took Anu's plate and fed her. 

After eating, Anu went to the kitchen to wash the dishes, but Adhi told her to go and rest and he would do the dishes. Anu slowly nodded and went to the bedroom. She took one of Adhi's tshirt and shorts and went for a shower. 

Anu came out and saw that Adhi had not come yet. She then combed her hair and went to bed. She sat on the bed and waited for Adhi. Adhi had walked in a few mins later and looked at  Anu. Anu signaled him to come and sleep. 

Adhi quietly walked and sat on his side of the bed. Adhi stared at Anu and Anu pulled him for a hug. Anu then slowly leaned towards Adhi and kissed him. Adhi reciprocated quickly. The two shared a passionate makeout session. After 5 mins they detached... 

Adhi: Anu na...(Anu I uh .....)

Anu: ipo ethvum pesavendam, nalaiki pesalam, ipo kanna moodi thoongu( not now Adhi, let's talk tomorrow, now close your eyes and sleep)

Adhi sighed and nodded. The two laid down and Adhi slept on Anu's chest a day his hand on her waist. Anu kissed his head and drifted off to sleep.
