Chapter 5: Missing

No One Pov:

The next day roll around and Clay got ready to see Jestro when he was stop by Lance again.

Lance: Clay why do you always go see that failure of a jester?

Clay: Because he is my friend

Lance: Your friend? He the reason why this kingdom was in danger in the first place and friends don't do that.

Clay: Monstrux filled his mind with lies and not only that but he was also being control. What happen wasn't his fault. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Lance: Are you sure about that? I mean he could of plan this the whole time.

Clay: Lance I need you to shut up now or else I might do something that you may not like.

Lance: Like what?

Clay then turn around as his hand started to glow yellow. He gave Lance a death stare which made him back up a little bit.

Clay: You always been bullying him. No Scratch that everyone I knew would bully him because they believe he was nothing but a useless jester. To me he is not a useless jester. He strong and brave and I will not let you bad talk him in my face so Shut up or else.

Lance who now knows that he maybe in a little trouble back up as clay left to go see Jestro. When he got to Jestro cell he saw he was missing but not only that it seem that his cell was destroyed. It look like a fight broke out in there. Clay yelled out Jestro name before he ran to the king.

Clay: Where is he?

Macy: Clay why are you here? Aren't you Supposed to be with jestro?

Clay: Jestro is missing and I know you have something to do with it king Halbert.

King: Woah Clay I had nothing to do with it but if he is missing, I will send all of my guards to go look for him and talk to the two guards that was patrolling around the dungeon area that night.

Clay: Thank you my king and I'm sorry that I accused you of doing something to him.

Queen: Its fine Clay. I know this must be stressful for you but please don't take your anger out on someone else.

Clay: I will try

That is when the two guards show up. They look happy but when they saw how Clay gave them a death look, they stop smiling and even got nervous on what is going on.

Guard 1: My king you call us here?

King: Yes. What happen last night?

Guard 2: Nothing much my king. We were patrolling around the dungeon area almost all night. There was nothing out of the ordinary. Though I did have to use that bathroom at one point.

Clay: What happen when your friend left to go and use that bathroom?

Guard 1: Nothing just like my buddy here say there wasn't anything out of the ordinary but thinking about it now I did here that jester scream before it went silent.

Clay: And you didn't went to oh I don't know check it out?

Guard 1: I thought it was nothing. I mean jestro could of had a nightmare or just trying to get someone attention.

Clay: He was probably calling for help.

Clay then grab the Guard shirt and pulling close to his face.

Macy: Clay you need to calm down.

Clay: I can't calm down. My best friend is missing and he was most likely kidnap. When I went to his cell, it look like a fight broke out down there and if this guard was doing his job, I could still have my bets friend.

Guard 1: Let me go please I'm sorry.

Guard 2: Sir Clay please let my buddy go. I know he made a huge mistake but I am sure everything will work out in the end.

Clay: My friend is missing. He could be dead right now all because you guys didn't do your job right.

King: Clay that enough. I will handle it from here.

Macy: Come on clay lets get you back to the others maybe they can help.

Clay: They don't care for him Macy. I will just look for him on my own.

Clay then left and went looking for Jestro but he couldn't find him all day. He tried to look for clues but there was nothing. In the end he just headed back to his room where he saw something waiting on his bed.
