The fate of the world always hung in the balance of opposing forces, a duality that shaped all of creation. Heaven and earth were both plagued by this curse, the light and dark of an infinite tapestry. The world was but a canvas for the eternal cycle of opposition, every iota of the universe made up of clashing ideals and beliefs. But they were always in a balance, a carefully constructed scale that never dipped too far one way. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction, every strength has an opposite, an equal, an enemy.

But just like all else, that cycle gave way to the tidal way of god. It shattered, and today, one force would triumph, there would be no more duality. One would wear the crown and rule them all.

Two pillars of polarized light shot up into the sky, one a fiery red and the other a thunderous blue. They pierced the cloudless heavens and into the endless darkness above, lighting up the world in a lustrous gleam that illuminated all of creation. Two voices cried out, one a lustrous calm and the other a psychotic passion. Two faces, two beings, two ideals, two worlds, duality. The beginning and the end, heaven and hell. Both intertwined in what seemed like one, a single dance, a single motion.

The gap between faded away.

At impossible speeds, Weiss Schnee and Cinder Fall shot towards one another, clashing in the middle of what was left of Beacon Academy, locking hands and pushing against one another. A shockwave rang out, deepening the crater beneath them and making the surrounding towers shake and begin to crumble, the forests sway as trees were uprooted, the sky tremble as it merged with the earth.

"That's it! Give it to me, Give me a fight!" Weiss screamed like a demon, sending a world shattering knee into Cinder's gut and making the woman cough up salvia. The Hōgyoku glowed like a blue sun as Weiss ripped her left hand free from Cinder's own, rearing back her fist and letting a powerful sapphire energy come to life like flames, coating her hand as she slammed it into Cinder's face. The hit was so hard that it bent the space around them, violently repelling Cinder forward and up as she flew higher into the sky, with Weiss blasting forth after her.

"Show me what you've got!" The honored one roared, appearing behind Cinder and kicking her in the back. But this was no ordinary kick, no, it was the strongest to ever be thrown. It made the winds around them scream as Cinder was flung forward. The sound barrier shattered as white lines of light split the sky like glass, making it appear to shatter as Cinder was flung from the school grounds and sent flying across the land. The Fall Maiden growled as she blasted over the emerald forest, her velocity so great the the trees below caught on fire before being incinerated, the ground turned to magma by her speed as Weiss trailed after her in a ball of blue light.

"Damned brat." Cinder snarled, forcing herself to gradually slow down as she sailed over the forest, reaching out her left arm and sending a bullet of red hot fire Weiss' way. She noted that Weiss was stronger and faster than before, so she had poured even more magic into her blasts than earlier. But the young immortal didn't seem worried, however, and merely smacked it away as it approached her, easily repelling the fireball and sending it flying into the horizon where it exploded with the force of a hydrogen bomb.

"Those won't work anymore, Cinder. A little something you should know about me..." The ivory haired girl began, her voice almost sing-song as she tore through the sky. Before Cinder knew it, Weiss was on her like a wild animal, punching her in the gut with a gravity-enhanced fist, one so powerful that her fist held the weight of an entire continent behind it as it slammed into her abdomen at light speeds. A black surge of energy rushed forth, Weiss' energy flashing black like lightning as Cinder was sent flying higher, the shockwaves decimating most of the forest below as Weiss appeared above her with both of her hands outstretched, palms open and holding a ball of blue spiritual light.
