Chapter Thirty-Four

Jungkook put his nametag on again seeing that his break would end in five minutes. He picked up his phone smiling when he saw a message.

Yoongi:

I'm going to your house and waiting for you there! Also my mom made me bring kimchi.

He chuckled knowing that Yoongi was probably not very happy about carrying big tupperware that was full of kimchi his mother made.

Jungkook:

Tell her I said thanks. Wait for me, then. See you. :)

He put his phone back inside his locker checking his reflection on the mirror and when he got contented, he went back into doing his job.

Being a waiter is not that bad, it requires a strong mentality- not all of your customers will have a smile on their faces while conversing with them, and you have to understand that.

Jungkook is extremely offended to those customers who are always treating waiters and their other staff as if, they are all below them. However, he never said anything about it because he didn't want to lose his job.

Yoongi is already in his fifth month, he needs to work more than ever. He saved up a pretty decent amount to buy clothes and other things that the baby will need and it's enough to help pay the possible hospital bills.

He knows that he can't shoulder the hospital bills alone, but his mother promised to help even with the things that the baby would need. At first, Jungkook was hesitant but the woman is very persistent saying that she will do it as the child's grandmother.

"Hey, Jungkook!" His manager said waving him over.

The boy looks at the manager accepting the tray with orange juice. He looks around then back at the manager waiting for the table number of the customer.

"There's a VIP in the far corner, give this to her," He said, slightly tensed.

Jungkook shrugged his shoulders slightly bowing at the manager before making his way towards the corner of the place, a woman is facing his back who probably looks in his early 40's.

"Good Afternoon, Ma'am. Have you-"

He immediately stopped when putting the drink on the table, because he finally saw the woman.

"It's true. Gosh! You're working?" The woman asked in disbelief.

Jungkook looks around before crouching down so no one would hear them talking.

"Mom, what are you doing here? Yes, I'm working. Please, leave," He said letting out a deep sigh.

Ms. Jeon massages her temples, she doesn't want to accept what she's seeing. She is a single mother left behind by her long-time boyfriend when he got her pregnant at the age of twenty-one.

She never chased Jungkook's father believing that if he was responsible, he wouldn't run away from the obligation that the both of them made. She worked hard, and shed a lot of tears before she became a successful businesswoman, all of that is because of her son.

Seeing Jungkook's works makes her heartbreak, she knows that it must be really hard for her son to do this. Yes, she knows that she did something wrong but the baby is already here- they can't change that so might as well love that blessing.

She stood up already leaving a generous amount of money on the table before dragging her son out of the restaurant. Jungkook scrunched up his nose pleading his mother to just let him be.

He saw how his co-workers were curiously looking towards their direction. He took in a deep breath before walking on his own going inside his mothers car.

"When can I meet the family of the boy?" She asked raising her brows, "I have to meet them soon and talk, y'know. We should apologize and assure them that you will take responsibility," She said.

Jungkook hummed in response that it only made the woman sigh knowing that her son was not very happy with her actions.

They made their way inside the building going inside the lift and pressing the right floor. When they reached the floor of Jungkook's unit, the boy suddenly remembered that Yoongi was probably inside his house waiting for him.

Before her mom could even open the door, he grabbed her by her arms looking at her worriedly.

"Mom, Yoongi is probably inside. Please, don't scare him. Don't ask too many questions, please," Her son begged.

The woman is surprised to see her son like that, he sounds so sincere and looks very worried for the boy inside the unit. She's proud, to say the least- her son didn't take after his bastard father.

They walked straight into the living room seeing Yoongi sat on the sofa with his knees up to his chest while hugging himself with a small pout on his lips that made Jungkook smile a little bit, the younger thought stood up as fast as he could when he saw that Jungkook is with someone.

"Mom," Jungkook bit his lower lips before walking towards the boy, "This is Yoongi," He introduced.

He walked closer to Jungkook upon knowing that the lady in front of them was the older's mother.

He let out an awkward smile bowing at the lady having a hard time because of his baby bump. Jungkook wrapped his arms around the younger's waist protectively.

"Hello! Yoongi. It's nice to meet you," his mother said with a wide smile on his face.

Yoongi bit his lower lips only to nod his head at the mother not knowing what to say. He doesn't want to do anything bad and leave a bad impression, this lady is going to be the grandmother of his baby.

"You're in your fifth month, right?" She asked

Yoongi is surprised to know that even Jungkook's mother knows it. He thought that the older man didn't pay attention to his pregnancy.

"Since Jungkook here doesn't want it let me ask you this question, when can I meet your parents?" She asked trying to sound polite and not demanding.

She knows that she might come out as a bad mother for supporting his son. What can he do about it? She scolded Jungkook about it and that's that. She doesn't have a plan to abandon his son in times like this because support is what they need the most.

The last thing that he could do is apologize to Yoongi's parents and assure them that Jungkook would take responsibility and wouldn't just let Yoongi take care of the child.

"I.. I'll ask them...." he said.
