Chapter Forty-Three

Yoongi took in a deep breath as he blew a few strands of hair blocking his eyesight.

His classes are all done but he's still in the cafeteria since he likes the menu so here he is, savoring the creamy and cheesy carbonara full of bacon.

He'll be taking a cab today since Jungkook is currently with his mother. Ms. Jeon asked for help for some things that they have to do in their company that's why he's all alone.

He looked at his phone when he saw it lit up revealing the older's name:

Kookie:
Sorry, you have to take a cab. Take care, okay? Call me if something happens.

He just hummed in response too lazy to even press any keys for a reply.

He finished his food and was about to drink his water when a girl suddenly sat across from him with her arms crossed and eyebrows raised.

He can't help but squint his eyes and bite his lower lip only to slowly nod his head when he finally realizes who it is, a girl from Jungkook's class.

"So you're living with Jungkook?" She asked.

The boy's eyes widened surprised that the girl knew about it. Wow, news spread out too fast here, it's unbelievable.

"Drop the innocent act, Yoongi. You slut!" She harshly said rolling her eyes at the boy.

Yoongi just put his hands on his bump caressing it a little before looking down to prevent his tears from falling.

"Hey, what are you doing?" a voice asked.

Yoongi looked up when he heard a soft sweet voice near him. He let out a small smile when he saw Seokjin with Taehyung following behind him.

The girl looks taken aback when Seokjin stands next to where the young boy is sitting caressing his shoulder ever so lightly trying to comfort the younger.

He hates it. He hates how everyone in this school just can't mind their own business. Why do they even care? He moved on- when will they?

"Where's Jungkook, Yoongi?" Seokjin worriedly asked.

The girl rolled her eyes once again before scoffing and making her way out stomping her feet so loud earning a few glances from the other students inside the cafeteria.

"He's out to help his mother," he said.

Taehyung and Seokjin nodded their heads before they exchanged looks, worried about the younger.

"C'mon, Yoongi. We'll take you home." Taehyung said with a small smile on his face.

"It's okay. I can ju-"

"No. We are a friend and we should do this. It's fine. It's not that far anyway."

Yoongi doesn't want to bother either Seokjin or Taehyung but they just wouldn't take no for an answer. In the end, Yoongi just followed both of them and got inside the backseat of the car.

"So, what's up?" Taehyung asked.

Yoongi cleared his throat thinking about that one friend of Jungkook. Lani, she's a surprise.

"Not much happened." He simply said.

Yoongi realized the way Jungkook was barely talking to his so-called friend. If that's the case, why are they acting like that? If they're close enough, Jungkook should be happy that his friend is finally here in the country but it's like the other way around.

"But um, yeah," Yoongi took in a deep breath hesitating if he should say it or not, "A friend of his came to visit us. The one named Lani." He timidly said.

Seokjin snapped his head up and immediately turned in his direction while Taehyung accidentally stepped on the break.

"Goodness, Yoongi! I'm sorry. Are you okay?" Taehyung asked already panicking.

"Gosh! Taehyung. Drive carefully!" Seokjin scoffed.

"I'm fine, no worries," he said.

Yoongi shut his eyes in relief when Taehyung starts to drive again now being extra careful. He's just glad that he had the energy to put on his seatbelt a while ago.

"What is she doing here? I thought she'd stay in Japan for good," Taehyung said.

The younger stared at Taehyung, he knew the girl too. That means she's a long-time friend of Jungkook.

"What did she say Yoongi? Is she treating you well?" Seokjin worriedly asked.

Taehyung keeps on glancing at him too anticipating his answer. The younger is confused as to why both of them look utterly worried about his interaction with the said girl.

Lani did say some words that offended him but he didn't take it too much. Of course, he would understand. She's someone who has known Jungkook for a long time and having to meet someone pregnant by her friend must've shocked her.

"Be careful with him, Yoongi," Seokjin looks at him, "That girl is hella obsessed with Jungkook." He chuckled.

Taehyung laughed shaking his head a little as if remembering something that already happened. He also saw how Seokjin rolled his eyes.

"That girl keeps on threatening me to break up with Jungkook. She's obsessed and I'm not even exaggerating."

Yoongi laughed a little because of how Seokjin looked very dramatic while saying those words with matching hand gestures that just emphasized his irritation towards the said girl.

"Yoongi! I'm serious! Have you seen her face? Oh gosh! She looks so innocent that's why it's even more scary to think what she can do," Seokjin stomped his feet like a child even pretending that he was shivering, "I am having goosebumps just thinking about it." He said.

They were just talking about Lani until both males asked the gender of the baby and they went on talking about pregnancy stuff until they were finally in front of Yoongi's house.

"Don't hesitate to text us if you need something, Yoongi," Taehyung said with his adorable boxy smile.

Seokjin let out a tight-lipped smile nodding his head at the younger, "Don't let that bitch stay in your house. She's a stress coming into life." He chuckled.

Yoongi laughed while nodding his head vigorously. He bowed at them before waving his hands and finally making his way inside the house.

He opened the door making sure that it was locked before collapsing on the sofa and reaching out for a pillow so he could hug it.

"Kookie...."

He let out a deep sigh, he didn't want to think about Lani and the things that she could do, he didn't care.

He just wants to be with Jungkook.
