Amid the Flames

Suspect #2

Two days after Makayla told me about 'Audrey Dippet', she called me again. "Hey, Makayla," I said into the phone. "How are you doing?"

"Ah-May-Zing!" She said in a sing-song voice."Guess what I just found."

"A really cute guy." I answered sarcastically.

"No! Well, I'll tell you about that later. Whatever, anyway, I found another suspect!" She practically screamed into my ear. Without waiting for me to reply, she continued. "His name is David Gont. He was in a fire as a child set by a terrorist. It messed him up pretty badly, and now he sets fire for revenge. That's pretty stupid if you ask me. He should've started helping fire survivors or something. Sure, David has mental issues, but still..."

I kind of stopped listening after awhile. She started babbling to herself, and knowing her, Makayla won't stop until she runs out of breath. So, I waited until she stopped talking.

"... ,right, Kaniya? Kaniya? Are you still there?"

"Uh, yeah, I'm still here. So,what do you suppose we should do now?"

"I don't know. Probably tell Anthony and Hillary, I guess."

"Yeah. I'll tell Anthony, you get Hillary. Okay, bye"

"See you."

We both hung up, and I called Anthony.

"Hello?" Answered Anthony.

"Dude, guess what Hillary found?"

"The cutest boy in the world!" He said in a mock girly voice. We all know her too well.

"That, and then David Gont, another suspect for starting the fire."

"That's great! But who are we going to look for, Audrey or David? And when?"

"Ummm, I don't know. Maybe split the group in half and look for both?"

"All right. I'm up for that. But when?"

"Soon. I think I'm getting out of the hospital really soon, so probably then. Good, bye."

"Um, bye."

I hung up, and got bored. So, I watched TV and played some games on my phone. Yup, my life is so interesting.
