Audrey's pov
Beep Beep Beep Beep bee-
I threw my alarm clock against the wall as it woke me up from a very comforting dream. I had a dream about my biological Dad, he was pushing me on a swing though he didn't say anything, he spent time with me in the dream and it felt as though he was reassuring me that everything is alright and that he has forgiven me.
Has he thought? Am I really forgiven by dad? After all I did in the past and he died before I could change, I killed him. My deeds killed my Dad in that accident, I should not have involved myself with the wrong people.
Feeling wetness on my cheeks, I wiped my tears and then slowly made my way to my ensuite bathroom, where I did my morning business.
For my hairstyle, I decided to do quick twists that won't probably last 24 hours.
I wore some black leggings and a loose t-shirt along with some sneakers and then applied minimal makeup.
I think this outfit is suitable for moving. It's been a month since Megan called me, and time feels like it's moving fast, faster than I can keep up.
Grabbing my car keys, I go to the elevator where Mrs. Heatherstone stood waiting for me.
I gave her a large smile, which she returned.
"So today is the D day?" She asked as soon as the elevator doors closed.
With a sigh, I said, "Yeah, not really looking forward to go back to California."
"Oh dear, I understand, but this is life, and life works our in mysterious ways. What if you are meant to be in California, huh? Don't deny what's meant to be, go with the flow and find out what's in store for you ok" Mrs.Heatherstone said softly, then hugged me one last time before going to her car.
What's meant to be my foot! I understand where she's coming from, but I don't believe anything that me moving to California is meant to be.

.Today, my workers and I are having a farewell party. Well, I was supposed to come and brief them of all that'll happen once I'm gone, but guess what! I guess surprised with a farewell party, which I'm so grateful for.
In fact, the restaurant is closed for the day.
"Carrie, thank you so much for this! I'm going to miss you guys so much!" I said genuinely, then side hugged Carrie.
Carrie is my assistant chef, and she has helped me a lot when it comes to trying new recipes . She usually took over when i wasn't around or couldn't be around due to personal and professional reasons.. I really will miss everything here. They all became like family whether they know it or not.
"No, please don't thank me, boss lady. I should be thanking you! You were awesome, and we all just wanted to suprise you and thank you for this beautiful experience we had working with you, " Carrie replied.
"Didn't I tell you to stop calling me boss lady!? It's Audrey for you." I chuckled .
"Well, it's your last day here, so I'll take advantage of calling you boss lady... now come on, make your speech before we all get too full to listen!" Carrie, a bit too loud, causing everyone to cheer on.
I stood up from my chair whilst everyone sat down.
"Wow, my small hard working team! Guess this is goodbye! I just wanna thank you first and foremost before anything. You guys are the best team I've ever worked with, and i will forever be grateful to have had you guys by my side, " I said, and they all cheered on really loud, causing me to giggle.
"My sister, Megan, will be the new boss as I transfer to Los Angeles. A few tips I could share with you all to win her is to always show her how confident you are. She has a little problem with being too controlling. Don't fret too much on that. Just do what she orders and all will be well, should there a problem do call me ok? I'm leaving for California today, and I guess all I wanted to say was, thank you. Thank you for your respect and understanding nature. It was a pleasure working with you all. Until we meet again, my lovely team! Oh, and congratulations on your pregnancy, Nova!" I tilted my glass to Nova, who held her hand to her hand and smiled at me.
Nova announced her pregnancy today, as she came dressed with a shirt that clung to her pregnant belly instead of her usual baggy shirts.
The rest of the morning was spent with my colleagues, and I couldn't have asked for a better start of the day.
When the afternoon clocked by, we all had left, and the restaurant was locked up early.
I made a quick detour to Starbucks, where I got a slice of carrot cake and a vanilla bean frappe.
After I got to my apartment, I sighed and then made a beeline to the kitchen where I peacefully ate my cake and drank my frappe whilst scrolling mindlessly on my phone.
I passed a familiar name, which caused me to quickly scroll back up.
It was a link to a blog titled : Super Star Andre Hampton and payal Chopra spotted at Lovers Park last night.
Who is this Payal Chopra?
Anyways, it's none of my business what goes on in his life.
The movers will be here soon, I better start preparing myself for that.
On que, a knock was heard, and my guess is that the movers have arrived.
Hopping off the kitchen bar stools, I opened the door to the men who acknowledged me with a nod, and I showed them all the boxes they would take with them.
Their moving truck would take the 21-hour drive from Texas to California.
My flight was scheduled for tonight at 7 p.m., so I still had about 2 hours to spare before leaving Texas.
I literally had nothing to do except pack some of my clothes, so that's what I was currently doing to pass time.

I looked out the window of the plane as it took off in the dark of the night.Twinkling stars looked beautiful as ever as the dark sky covered them. Now this sight is the reason I love flying at night.
Releasing a breath I didn't know I was holding, I layed my head against the window and took steady breaths to calm my nerves.
What am i nervous for? Even I don't know.
Los Angele, here I come.
