Andre's pov
"Dude, that's a freaking lie!" Brandon huffed as he sat his fat ass down on my sofa.
I chuckled as i rolled my eyes. After pouring whiskey in three whiskey glasses, I gave each to Brandon and Payal.
"Thanks, boyfriend," Payal said with a teasing wink whilst I shaked my head amusedly at her as I handed the whiskey to her.
"You guys are not cute, Drop.it." Brandon commented, then took a sip of his whiskey.
We're all gathered as always because it's a Friday night, meaning that it's game night. This has been a tradition of ours for the past years, it started as a way for Brandon to help cheer me up after the...after...yeah, but then Payal came along and joined us and it's been a thing for every Friday. It's a day when we all unwind and be free and just catch up as we don't talk that much during the week, well I don't talk that much during the week with Brandon whereas Payal basically lives here.
"Whatever, Mr.marriedtomybrotherswife." Payal showed him the middle finger whilst I rolled my eyes.
I brought out the fish bowl, which has different games written in small pieces of paper, and this week is my turn to randomly select what game we would play.
I hope it's not charades. I suck at that game.
I took out a piece of paper, and I cringed as I saw we're gonna play truth or dare for the night.
"We're graced with the privilege of playing truth or dare after more than two months," I announced as I showed them the piece of paper.
"Cool, but you go first as per our rule," Payal said as we all sat on the flour shaping a triangle.
"Brandon truth or dare?" I asked Brandon, who smirked, then confidently chose truth.
What a wimp! I had such a good dare for him.
"Ok, fine. Why did you not fight for Isha?" I asked, and he shifted uncomfortably, then cleared his throat.
"Can I choose dare instead?" He asked.
"Fine, I dare you to lick my calf." I winked at him, and he cringed.
Hehe.
Brandon caught me by suprise when he actually raised my arm and licked my calf, then rushed to the kitchen, gagging and trying to make himself vomit.
That felt gross, I should've dated him to eat his own ear wax or something.
I looked over at Payal, who was rolling on the floor and clutching her stomach as laughter erupted from her petite figure.
A smile made its way to my lips as I watched her laugh harder whenever Brandon would dramatically gag whilst gargling his mouth with orange juice.
"I-i hahaha...oh my gosh, I'm so glad I got that on camera." Payal smirked as she waved her phone in front of Brandon, who tried to snatch it but was unsuccessful.
Payal is swift like that.
After we all calmed down, the game proceeded.
Payal chose dare and was dared to eat five Wasabi nuts, which resulted in her eyes turning red, and she actually cried because she hates Wasabi nuts THAT much.
Payal dared me to drink the rest of the whiskey all at one go.
Brandon dared Payal to drink half a bottle of vodka, and so did I dare him to drink the rest of the vodka.
Now we're drunk as ducks, and I'm giggly and all sorts of happy and bubbly.
"Andre, truth or dare?" Payal asked me
"Truthhhh," I slurred, and payal giggled.
"Do you still love Audrey?" she asked, and all of sudden, my world dimmed, and tears brimmed in my eyes.
Do I still love her? I mean, if I did love her, then why did I never show it for real. No, no, I can't still love her after two years. Heck, I never even loved her.
I've been feeling guilty, for we ended but LOVE? yeah, no, big word.
I literally focused on Nicky when we were married. Never once did I give Audrey any kind of romantic feels during our marriage except for when we developed feelings and wanted to give ut a try. I always wanted to make her happy, to see her happy, I loved the smile on her face whenever we ate out at any Italian restaurant or how passionate she got when she made food in the kitchen whether it be an Italian cuisine or simple old grilled cheese sandwich.
Maybe she was meant to leave for me to realise I need her, to realise my actual feelings for her, to realise I....I actually might've liked her ALOT mire than I'd like to admit and maybe I am confused right now as I am drunk but I guess I'll figure that out when I see her, that's if I'll ever see her again.
"Ok, well, since you won't answer me. I bumped into your ex-wife sometime last week at LA Vie Cafe, " Payal said.
Huh? Is my drunken self hearing things now.
"Audreyyyy?" I asked, laughing.
"Yes, very pretty lady. She's quite a foodie, " payal said, then squeezed lemon into her mouth, resulting in her sqeezing her eyes close.
"No way! She can't just reappear after two whole years." I said...well more to myself.
"I saw her at LA ViE Andre," payal said, then crawled closer to me when she lay her head on my lap.
Brandon noticed this, and he rolled his eyes with a smile before throwing himself on my couch and shutting his eyes shut.
Is Audrey really back? Why am I getting excited at her sudden return? She's nothing to me but an ex-wife. I just need to chill honestly.
Ugh, I blame this alcohol!
