"Okay yall! I wanted to wait til i got all my acceptances back so i can check em at the same time." I said excitedly.
"Come on then! Let's hear em!" My grandma said smiling.
"Hold on lemme record." Melly said pulling out his phone.
I squealed before opening my email.
"Ight this the first one." I said.
I opened it and my smile instantly dropped.
"It's Ight! Brush that shit off. It's just one." Melly said.
"Okay you right. Stop the video cause I'm embarrassed." I said laughing.
"Girl we family. Hush." My grandma said.
"Okay. The second one chile." I said.
"Yalllll. I'm getting irritated. They rejected me too. I hate it hereeeee." I said.
I'm confused. My SAT scores was high as hell. Only thing i could think of was my criminal record.
"Go to another one." Melly said.
I went through the rest and i ain't get accepted into any of em.
"Welp. I tried." I said.
"I'm sorry baby. It's gone be okay. We can try some more schools." My grandma said.
"Yeah minnie it's schools everywhere. We can apply to some more tonight. I'll help." Melly said.
"It's fine. Hold on y'all I'm finna change out these clothes." I said smiling.
I walked in the room and shut the door. I laid on the bed and broke down.
"Nyella." Melly said coming in and closing the door back behind him.
"Bruh I'm so fucking tired! Everytime i take a step forward i take 2 steps back! I try to stay positive bruh i do!"
"This was the only thing i wanted to do and i can't! And i can't do shit bout it! Six schools Melly and none accepted me! Six dawg! I don't know what to do!"
"This shit is haunting me! It's fucking with my life! I wish i didn't kill him bruh! It fucked my whole life up! That split second! He fucking dead and he still terrorizing me melly! I can't take this shit!" I said crying hardly.

"Nyella breathe! Grandma!" Melly yelled.
"Shit! Alright baby you gotta sit up. Yeen gone be able to breathe laying down like that. Come on and sit up." My grandma said pulling me up.
She sat me up and i laid against her chest crying.
