Months later
"Minnie mouse?" I heard Salem's little voice say.
"Hmm?" I said opening my eyes.
I saw him standing there with his coloring book and crayons.
"Can you color wid me?" He asked as he rubbed his eyes.
"Salemmm." I said groaning.
"Pwease." He said.
"Okay fine." I said getting out the bed.
I checked my phone and it was damn 5:37 am. Like why are you up right now Salem? Maliyah was still knocked out.
I decided to keep both of them since i promised maliyah she can stay with me.
Me and Salem got on the floor and he opened up his coloring book.
"I'm not doing this no more Salem. You hear me? We posed to be sleep." I said finding a page i wanted.
"I sowry. You want Minnie Mouse? Like you?" He asked.
"Yeah imma get a Minnie Mouse one. You want Mickey?" I asked him.
"Yeah. I like Mickey." He said.
I ripped both of our pages out and opened up the crayon box and and dumped the crayons on the floor.
"You color good to be 3." I said chuckling.
"Tank you." He said concentrating.
"You know when your birthday is?" I asked him.
"Hmm. Tuly twel." He said.
"July twelfth." I said laughing at him.
"Okay i done. I want grits pwease." He said.
"Salem we ain't even been coloring for 5 minutes. I know yeen wake me up for this." I said.
"Come onnnn." He said standing up and holding his little hand out.
"I can't have no kids." I said standing up and grabbing his hand.
We walked to the kitchen and i picked him up and sat him on the island.
"You stay right there okay?" I said.
He nodded his head.
I took out grits from the cabinet and grabbed a pot.
I filled the pot up with water and put salt in it and then boiled it.
I grabbed my phone and FaceTimed June since he was up.
"Yooo. Everything good?" He asked.
"Why is yo son up at the crack of dawn?" I said putting Salem in the camera.
