I was standing here in front of Melly nervous as hell as i prepared to say my vows.
"Where do i startttt. It's been a long long longggg ride witchu. I haven't always been this person i am today. I'm a better woman and a big reason for that is because of you. You was always more than a bestfriend to me. You're my conscience. My therapist."
"No matter how many times i made you upset or hurt you it didn't change how you felt about me. It's a lot of times i probably even didn't deserve you but-but you stayed here for me. I know i don't listen and im hardheaded but you stick beside me anyways." I said chuckling.
"You know every little thing about me. Every tiny detail. Including every single flaw and you love it all. You look at me and admire me like I'm the only woman on this earth. Sometimes i don't even see what you see in me. But im blessed that you saw what i wasn't able to see in my darkest times."
"In my world full of darkness, you were my light. You literally guided me through every moment in my life. Um...... you give me a lot of strength you know. Like the way you believe in me like it helps me like love myself more. And as i been growing in my womanhood, you've been right there like 'keep going, don't give up, you got this." I said as i wiped my tears.
"And i didn't give up. It's so many times i wanted to. Nobody could see how bad i was hurt and broken except for you. No matter how many times i lied and said i was fine. You saw beneath the lies and you were the only one able to see the real me."
"I wouldn't be standing here today if it wasn't for you Amel. I'm the happiest i ever been and i didn't even think it was possible. And it's all because of you. You always told me the storm won't last forever and I'm so glad i trusted you and believed what you told me. Because it didn't. And now i finally have my rainbows." I said crying hardly.
He cried as he wiped my tears.
"Alright. Amel if you have any vows." The pastor said.
"When i lost you Minnie i crashed out. On my soul i did. Me and mani. You always been my rock and the one that kept me grounded. You always was the one who supported me. Even when i was 15 and rapping out my closet." He said chuckling.
"You made me keep going with music. I experienced everything that i did because of you. Them days where we would go to the park and i would write and you would be reading some of my favorite times. Even when we used to have our Bible study sessions. I swear to God it be the little shit with you."
"Since i met you all i wanted to do was protect you like you was a flower assum. I chose to be yo soil, yo water, and yo sun. I couldn't let you die. And i didn't. I swear my love fa you deadass indescribable. I think everybody here already know how I'm coming behind you." He said chuckling as he cried.
"Fa! Fa!" Peezy said making everybody laugh.
"Man nigga not now!" Mario said.
"But nah forreal. I feel like our hearts was intertwined in the perfect harmony. It's no Melly without Minnie and it ain't no Minnie without Melly. You deserve everything this world got to offer dawg and i promise to God imma give it to you til i breathe my last breath." He said crying.
"You some so rare. I know it's God gift to breathe the air you breathe. We done came so far as individuals, bestfriends, a couple, and parents. It ain't nobody I'm doing the rest of my life with but you. I promise i got you forever and i won't ever let you fall. I promise." He said crying.
All i heard was damn cries everywhere.
I was waiting for the pastor to get to the next part and i looked and saw his ass was crying too. Sir! Get it together so you can marry me and my bestie.
"Amel , do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health? Til death do you part?" The pastor asked as he cleared his throat.
"Hell yea i do." He said making everybody laugh.
"Nyella, do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health? Til death do you part?" The pastor asked.
"I do i do i doooo." I said smiling and crying as he wiped my tears.
"With the power invested in me, i now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride." The officiate said.
"That ass mine now. Come mere." He said smiling with tears in his eyes.
He grabbed my chin and kissed me slowly. His hand slid down to my neck and i slightly opened my mouth to give him access.
He gently stuck his tongue in as we slowly kissed.
"Hey! Minnie! We still here! Yall ain't alone!" My daddy yelled.
"I know that's right suh! You kiss yo man!" I heard Kali yell.
We pulled away and laughed.
"I love you Nyella." He said smiling.
"I love you moreeee. Now let's go make a million babies." I said smiling.
He smiled and picked me up.
"Aye where the broom?! We need to jump this muhfucka!" He yelled.
"The pastor right there and you doing allat cursing!" My grandma yelled.
"I'm so sorry. Please forgive us." I said laughing and looking back at the pastor.
"The lord already did." He said smiling at us.
