Carl and Enid entered Sophia's house, her, Lydia, and Alicia already waiting for them. "You're here! Come on." Sophia said, taking carls hand and dragging him upstairs.
The others followed, all laughing and smiling. Carl was confused. Very. Why were they so happy? Lydia covered his eyes as Sophia opened the door of her room.
"What's going on?" He asked, confused. "Surprise!" They said in unison as Lydia removed her hands.
Sophia's room had sleeping bags in the floor, and carls favorite movie on the tv ready for them to watch it. His favorite food and drinks were also in her room, Sophia and Alicia making it earlier.
"What's all of this for?" He said, looking around. "You." Alicia said, although that was obvious. "Well yeah, but why? Did I do something?" He said, still confused.
"Well, we just wanted to cheer you up. I know Ron probably wasn't easy to work with." Sophia said, the group sitting down. "What she means is that we know he was a dick. You don't have to tell us what he did. I already know it was stupid." Enid said, always annoyed by Ron.
"I.." Carl said, not sure what to say. "You can tell us if you want though. If you want to talk about it." Enid added, although it would only make her upset. "I don't want to talk about that. I have something else to say." Carl said with a smile. "What?" Lydia said, interested in what he had to say.
His smile widened, and his cheeks were red from shyness. "I kissed someone." He admitted, leaving Ron anonymous.
They all screamed, excited for him. He laughed, embarrassed. "Who?!" Sophia said, smiling. "I can't say." He said, still smiling. "Why not?!" Enid said, although she already knew why most likely.
"He doesn't want anyone to know yet. He's.. not out, I guess." Carl explained, not sure if he would want to tell them who it was either way. "Oh. I guess that makes sense." Lydia said.
"Yeah. But he's not going to want to hide you forever, right? Because that's not what you deserve." Enid said, wanting the best for him. "No. He's working on it. Coming out isn't easy." Carl said, knowing it was particularly difficult for Ron.
"Is it Patrick? He's totally in love with you." Alicia asked. "Oh my god! He is!" Sophia agreed. "He's already out though. Everyone knows he's bisexual. That's why Ron used to target him. Remember? Before he decided he hated Carl more." Enid pointed out. The idea of Ron hating Carl made him sad, but he knew it wasn't true. "That was back when he hated everyone though. Now it's just Carl." Alicia added, hating Ron as much as Enid did.
"It's not Patrick. I don't like him like that." Carl claimed. "Ok fine. You'll tell us eventually." Alicia said, not wanting to bother him about it. "Is he strong? I want him to beat Ron up." Enid said, smiling at the idea. "Yes! I'd pay to see that." Alicia agreed. "Guys come on." Carl said, imagining how Ron could fight himself.
