Carl looked at his homework laying on his desk. He was a chronic procrastinator, and it was piling up. He sighed, sitting down to chip away at the pile. Just a few questions at a time over a few hours would do the job.

He silenced his phone to keep his focus, placing it face down on the desk. He worked on some of the homework over thirty minutes or so before he decided to take a five minute break. He picked up his phone to see if he had any texts, and he did. He had one from Sophia and a few from Ron. He subconsciously smiled at the sight of his name.

"Did you do all of that homework?" Sophia had asked him twenty three minutes ago.
"Working on it." He replied quickly before opening Ron's messages.

"Hey"
"What are you doing?"
"If you're not busy, could you come over? I want to talk." Ron's three texts had said.

"I was just doing some homework. I really need to get it done." He answered him.
"Is everything ok?" He added.

"Yeah. How much homework?" Ron asked.
"A lot. It's overwhelming to be honest." He replied, looking over at the pile.
"Why don't you come over? I'll help you with it."
Carl smiled at his words. Maybe it was cheating, but what they don't know won't hurt them. "Ok. See you in a minute."

Carl laid his stack of homework down on Ron's floor. "Its just.. I don't know. There's so much of it. Don't you have your own to do?" He sat down and started separating the pages by subject. "I already did it." Ron told him, picking up some chemistry work.

He was quiet, looking at the pages. Ron leaned over to him, placing a gentle kiss on his lips.
"It's gonna be fine. We'll have this done in an hour." He reassured him softly. "Ok. Yeah. Will you do that again?" He whispered, feeling a bit better now. Ron kissed his lips again, their kiss a bit longer this time. They smiled at each other before starting on the homework.

After working for a while on his English, Carl looked over to Ron halfway through the chemistry homework. "Do you know what you're doing? You're not even in that class." He laughed. "That's because I took it freshman year man." He told him, smiling.
"Ohhh. I didn't know." He replied, looking back at his paper. "I got an A by the way." He added. "Great." He smiled. They were quite for a bit before Carl spoke. "Ron?" He looked over at him. "Yeah?" He replied. "Um.. I didn't like that." He whispered, not clarifying what he meant. "You didn't like what?" He asked.

"When you called me 'man.' It's like something that you call a friend. I'm not just your friend." He explained his feelings. "Oh. I see. Ok. I won't call you that again." He promised, rubbing his back. "Thanks. Not those other things either. Like bro, or dude." He added.
"Ok." He put his arm around him. "Baby." He added with a kiss. Carl smiled at his nickname and kiss. "I think I owe you a date. A real one." He told him softly. "Really? You want to like, actually go out?" He asked with a smile.
