"Are you busy?" Carl texted Ron, his mind on what happened in Ron's car the previous night.
"No. Everything ok?" Ron replied rather quickly.
Carl smiled, typing his response.
"Yeah. I just miss you." He wrote.
"I miss you too." Ron claimed.
"You can't come over here though. Dad's home." He added.

"Could you come over here?" Carl asked.
"Am I allowed? Or are those men going to harass me again?" Ron joked.
"Sorry about that." Carl said, smiling still.
"You can climb in through the window. They'll never know you were here." He said, excited to see him.
"The window? Are you sure?" He said, not sure he could climb a house.
"Yes. Enid climbed it once so I'm sure you can." Carl replied, remembering that day.
"Ok. I'll try." Ron said.

-

Ron put on his shoes and his jacket, shaking his head at what he was about to do. He was really sneaking out to climb through Carl Grimes' window.
The past week had been insane. He really did like Carl though, and he was going to try his best to make him happy.
He picked up the little teddy bear he had bought for Carl, putting it into his jacket pocket. Carl was going to love it.

He left his room, quietly walking down the hall. He didn't know where his dad was, or what he was doing. After he reach the bottom of the stairs, he peaked around the corner. He didn't see Pete in the living room or the kitchen. He exited the house through the garage, walking over to carls house.

He searched for his window, finding it rather quickly. Carl smiled at him, opening the window for him.
"Come on." He said, waving him up.
Ron did so, climbing up the decorative siding that was almost a perfect ladder.
"Here." Carl said, reaching his hand out for Ron to take. Ron took his hand, climbing into the window.

Carl laughed, surprised Ron actually did it.
"Stop laughing." Ron said, sitting in carls floor.
"It's a little funny." Carl said, sitting in front of him.

"The things I do for you." Ron said, shaking his head. Carl smiled, leaning in and giving him a kiss. "I know why you came." He said softly, their lips close. Ron sighed, closing his eyes and going in for another kiss. They kissed each other gently, only thinking about the other.

They jumped, pulling away from each other quickly when laughing was heard from downstairs.
"Um.. just ignore that." Carl said, already having locked his door.

"What's going on down there?" He asked, still hearing people downstairs.
"My parents have some people over. They won't bother us." Carl claimed, moving closer and hoping for another kiss.
"Oh. Ok." Ron said, not a big fan of Rick's friends. He was quiet for a second, thinking.
He leaned back in, his tongue moving into carls mouth as they kissed. Carl moaned softly at the feeling, moving closer to him.

"I got you something." Ron said softly, reaching into his coat pocket.
Carl smiled when he saw the teddy bear he had gotten him.
"Aww. It's so cute!" He said excitedly, looking at it after he handed it to him.
"Yeah." Ron replied, smiling at how happy Carl was.

Carl looked up at him, still smiling. "Thanks." He said. "I don't have anything for you though. Sorry." He added, looking around for a moment.
"Its ok. I just wanted-" he was saying, getting cut off by Carl.

"Oh! You can have this." He said happily, reaching him a flannel from the floor.
"Is this dirty?" Ron asked, assuming it was.
"Maybe." Carl said, not sure.
"Well thanks. I love it. It's the best gift I've ever gotten." Ron said sarcastically.
Carl smiled. "I know." He said proudly.
"What were you saying?" He said, feeling bad for interrupting.

"Oh, yeah. I was saying that I wanted to ask you.. like, if you would be my boyfriend? Like, my real boyfriend." He said, obviously shy about asking.
Carl smiled wide. "Yes. I thought I already was." He said with a laugh.
"Oh. I guess so. I just wanted to be like... official, I guess." He said, thinking he should ask Carl to be his boyfriend rather than assuming.

"You're such a gentleman." Carl joked, looking at the little teddy bear.
"I try." He claimed, giving him a kiss.
"Oh I know." Carl whispered, their faces close.
"I wish you wouldn't sometimes though." He said with a mischievous smile, placing Ron's hand on his thigh. Ron smiled at him, knowing what he meant. He started to kiss him, the two getting more touchy than usual. They stayed like that for a while, getting more and more bold with where they were touching each other.

Knock knock knock

"Carl?" Rick said, trying the locked door handle. The two jump away from each other, looking in opposite directions.
"Yeah?" Carl said, embarrassed even though Rick didn't see anything.
"Are you ok?" Rick said, not sure why he would lock his door.

"Um.. yeah. I'm just changing." He claimed, standing up. "Hide." He whispered to Ron, not sure where he was going to do that.

"Are you going to come downstairs? Everyone's asking about you." He said, thinking this was awfully suspicious.

"Um.. yeah. Ok." Carl said, watching as Ron hid in the closet. Ironic. He quickly changed his shirt to make his story look real.

He opened the door to see Rick standing on the other side. He looked suspicious. Ricks eyes moved to carls room, the faint smell of weed all but confirming the neighbors boy was in there.
Rick sighed, walking inside and past Carl.

"What are you doing? Aren't we going downstairs?" Carl asked, worried.
"Yeah. We are. All three of us. Ron? Why don't you make this easy for everyone and come out. I know you're in here." Rick said, looking around the room for the boy. Ron peaked through the slits in carls closet door, knowing Rick was going to find him. He was fucked.

"Ron? What do you mean?" Carl played dumb.
"Don't lie to me Carl. He's in here." Rick said confidently. Carl was quiet. He always knew when he was lying.

"Go ahead Ron. Come out." Rick said, giving him another chance. He was met with silence from both boys. "Fine." Rick said, starting to search for him. He looked under the bed, then in the bathroom before he ended up at the closet. It was the only other place he could be, Rick knew that. He opened it, not surprised by the blond boy hiding inside.

"Do you want to explain why you're hiding in my son's room?" He asked him, although he already knew.
"Dad.." Carl said, looking for the right words. Ron was silent, and he was clearly upset.
"Look, I'm not mad, ok?" Rick said, changing his demeanor when he saw Ron's tears.
Ron put his hands over his face, hiding.

"You're kids. I get it. You want to.. be alone, I guess." He said, only making it worse.
"Dad, stop. Please." Carl said, his cheeks red from embarrassment. He made his way over to Ron, giving a hug as he cried.
"But I need to know when he's coming over, Carl." Rick continued despite carls protests.
"Ok. Can we talk about it later? Please?" He said, his arms around Ron as he sobbed.

"Ok. I'll give you two some privacy, but he can't stay." Rick said, finding it disrespectful how he had snuck in. He made sure not to shut the door on his way out.

"What's wrong sweetie?" Carl said softly, gently rubbing his back. He took his hands off his face, wiping his tears away.

"I'm not ready."
"He already knew. I'm sorry. He guessed it was you. I didn't confirm it.. I actually denied it. But I think he definitely knows now. He won't tell anyone though, ok? No one will force you to do or say anything you don't want to. I promise." He hugged him.
"Are you sure?" He whispered.
"Yeah. I am. It'll be ok." He kissed his tear stained cheek.
He took a breath. "Ok. I think I want to go home." He told him.
"Yeah." He had his hand on his back.
